This study attempts to fabricate a single Jet Grouting system from used machines and the machines were modified by the authors. The assembled jet grouting system was fabricated to create soil cement mixing by high pressure beams at pressure up to 30 MPa of cement slurry or water plus cement slurry. The two soilcrete columns were created using the above Jet Grouting system at the bank of Nhieu Loc canal, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The diameters of the soilcrete columns vary from 0.8-1.3 m at the top and larger 0.4 m at the bottom. The lengths of the columns were 12 m and 4 m for the column 1 and 2, respectively. Characteristics of a soilcrete column are appreciably dictated by operating parameters of a Jet Grouting system.

The main idea of jet grouting technology is the implementation of processes aimed at changing the characteristics of soils, creating materials with the necessary properties on their basis and forming underground elements with specified parameters from these materials. The high pressure of the cement mortar jet leads to soil blending and its continuous destruction within the radius of impact of the jet. According to some authors, the jet outside the destructive radius does not affect the surrounding soil environment. In compliance with practical studies performed at construction sites in Kyiv, Ukraine, the data on changes in the physical and mechanical characteristics of the soil surrounding the soil-cement column were obtained. This fact led to a more detailed study of the effect of a high-pressure jet on the surrounding soil during the execution of columns using jet technology.

This study focused on the middle-pressure jet grouting method, which has a complicated development mechanism for the columnar soil-improved body, with the aim of establishing a computer-aided engineering (CAE) system that can simulate the performance on a computer. Furthermore, in order to confirm the effect of middle-pressure jet grouting with mechanical agitation and mixing, a comparative analysis was performed with different jet pressures, the development situation was visualized, and the performance of this method was evaluated. The results of MPS-CAE as one of the CAE systems showed that the cement slurry jet ratio in the planned improvement range, including the periphery of the mixing blade, by the middle-pressure jet grouting together with the mechanical agitation and mixing was increased and a high quality columnar soil-improved body was obtained. It is expected that the introduction of CAE will contribute to the visualization of the ground, and that CAE will be an effective tool for the visual management of construction for ground improvement and the maintenance of improved grounds during the life cycle of the ground-improvement method.

Abstract A novel, non-ionic surfactant is presented that alters typical cement incompatibility with non-aqueous fluids, effectively removing synthetic/oil-based mud (SOBM) from the wellbore and changing wettability of casing and formation from oil-wet to water-wet. The change in wettability eliminates the need for cement spacers conventionally deployed between the preceding non-aqueous fluid and the ensuing cement slurry. The entirety of spacer fluid interface can therefore be removed from operation, improving operational safety and efficiency, reduce waste and simplify wellsite logistics. The paper discusses the selection and evaluation of the proprietary surfactant in various laboratory testing. The main characteristics of the surfactant is its non-foaming, non-retarding, compatible with SOBM, ability to change oil-wet surface to water-wet, stable while minimizing environmentally impact. Scaling up, a yard test and a field trial in an offshore rig was successfully performed to evaluate the mixing, compatibility and pumpability using rig equipment.

t is easy to cause the Yangtze River embankment soil of slip even collapse to have a deep foundation pit construction adjacent to the Yangtze River outsideembankment, there are a lot of risk. In this paper, a new combining technique of construction for large caisson is presented. Based on the construction environment, theconstructiontechnology, the smaller earthwork excavation of deep high pressure rotary jet grouting pile with undrained caisson combined construction technology combined with monitoring data for the open caisson excavation control is adopted. It has achieved relatively good results and summarized the advantages of deep high pressure rotary jet grouting pile with undrained caisson combined construction technology in engineering application owing the reference value for engineering applications.

Based on the construction practice of strengthening dam foundation and cross-strait dam end (0+149~0+330) high pressure jet grouting impervious wall of an earth dam, this paper expounds the construction equipment, technological process, construction parameters and construction method of high pressure jet grouting impervious wall construction. By analyzing the impervious wall’s depth, continuity, strength, permeable rate, the quality of the wall is eligible, and its indexes comfort the design requirements. The experiences are useful in similar earth dam reinforcement construction.

High pressure jet grouting pile has been widely used in engineering application, with the increase of depth, demand for construction machinery will increase, also the difficulty of the construction quality control. Through the deep soft soil area in southeast coastal areas in fujian actual engineering example, we have improved ultra-deep Yet Grouting Pile machinery to meet the construction requirements.
