Future trends in customers’ postpurchasing habits and the identification of the structures that affect the formation of these trends are key determinants of long-term financial performance and competitive advantage for businesses. In the field of marketing, service quality, perceived value and customer satisfaction, and the relationship between these structures are the main factors for the determination of customer loyalty. However, empirical findings have proven to be inadequate in revealing relationships between related structures in low- and high-involvement levels of consumer groups. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the moderating effect of involvement in the relationship between the behavioral intentions of members of a sports-fitness center and their antecedents. For the research, face-to-face questionnaires were administered to 842 subjects who had been selected by convenience sampling performed at sports and fitness centers operating in Istanbul, and the collected data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling technique. Our results showed that there were differences in the effects of service quality, perceived value, and customer satisfaction on behavioral intentions among consumer groups in terms of low- or high-involvement levels. This article discussed the theoretical and managerial effects of the obtained results.

In communications services, the continued competitiveness and growth of a company depends vitally on customer value. In Korea’s maturing mobile market currently also going through a period of transition, an intense competition is under way among carriers. As the market nears the point of saturation, carriers are focusing on winning over competitors’ subscribers, at the same time on retaining their existing customers. Understanding the factors that influence customers’ switching behavior, therefore, is crucial for Korean mobile carriers’ quest for successful customer strategies. Customer satisfaction is the widely acknowledged primary determinant of customer behavior. Even so, there are cases in which satisfied customers do not behave according to expectations. Some satisfied customers switch their suppliers, while others stay with their existing suppliers, even if they are dissatisfied with them. In sum, customer satisfaction does not appear to be the sole and the only determinant of customer behavior. This study is an attempt to explain the relationship between customer satisfaction and customer behavior using switching incentives and switching barriers. The role of switching incentives (subsidies toward handset replacement, attractiveness of alternative carriers, etc.) and switching barriers (burden of having to change numbers, burden of losing benefits provided by the current carrier) is investigated empirically using the results of a consumer survey.

<p><em>In recent years, customer satisfaction has been a subject of great interest in order to maximize the profit levels of the organizations. The quality of service provided by the organizations has become an important aspect of customer satisfaction. It has been a universal fact that service quality is proportionally related to customer satisfaction. It is obvious that customers play an important role in the organizational process (Lee &amp;</em><em> </em><em>Ritzman, 2005, p. 92). Building customer relationship means delivering superior value over competitors to the target customers (Kotler et al., 2002, p. 391). Many companies are adopting quality management programs which aim at improving the quality of their products and marketing processes, because it has been proven that “quality has a direct impact on product performance, and thus on customer satisfaction” (Kotler et al., 2002, p. 8).</em></p><p><em>The primary objective of this study is to examine the relationship between customer satisfaction and service quality in retail sectors with respect to the service quality dimensions with special reference to the hypermarkets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).</em></p>

Abstract Delighted customers are those whose expectations have been exceeded by the service provider. Competitors in the hotel business need to go beyond what is expected in order to satisfy the guest with an unpredictable positive experience. This study was aimed to clarify the significance of customer delight as an antecedent to customer loyalty, in five-star hotel spas in Portugal. To better understand spa consumers’ perception of delight, the development and testing of an integrated model was undertaken by examining the relationship between perceived service quality, customer satisfaction, loyalty and customer delight. The model was tested using surveyed data from 427 spa consumers and validated using partial least squares (PLS) technique. The results indicated that satisfaction had a direct positive effect on customer delight and, consequently, influences the effect of customer delight on customer loyalty.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between restaurant key attributes, customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions. The mediating role of customer satisfaction is assessed between restaurants’ key attributes of service quality and behavioral intentions. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from a sample of 296 customers dining in the fine dining restaurants of Pakistan through a self-administered questionnaire. The data were then analyzed through regression analysis and gap analysis. Model fitness was checked in SPSS AMOS through CFA. Findings The findings suggest that the key restaurant attributes have a significant positive effect on behavioral intentions. Customer satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between key restaurant attributes and behavioral intentions. The findings also suggest that there is a significant gap between the perceptions of customers regarding the importance and performance of key restaurant attributes. Practical implications The result indicates that food taste and environmental cleanliness are the cornerstones of fine dining restaurants’ success in Pakistan and are among the strongest predictor of customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions; while improvement efforts should be made in four key areas, i.e., healthy food option, food freshness, food safety and fair price. Originality/value No comparative study has been directed in fine dining restaurants of Pakistan with respect to the key restaurants attributes, i.e., food quality attributes, service quality attributes, atmospheric quality attributes, and other attributes which have been analyzed in the current study. This research was conducted to investigate the perceptions of customers toward the fine dining restaurants of Pakistan to measure the key restaurants’ attributes that influence customers’ satisfaction and their post-dining behavioral intentions. This study will facilitate restaurants’ managers to understand the stronger and as well as the weaker aspects of service quality and permit them to investigate the factors which contribute toward customers’ satisfaction and their post-dining behavioral intentions in order to build and maintain long-term relationship between restaurants and customers.
