Job performance of employees from the millennial generation is starting to be studied a lot because the proportion is starting to increase. Leadership style and job satisfaction are factors that are suspected to affect job performance. This study aims to examine the effect of ethical leadership, authentic leadership on job performance mediated by job satisfaction. This study was a cross-sectional design involving 350 millennial generation employees at the Tanjung Priok Customs and Excise Main Service Office, which were selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 26 software. The results of this study indicate that ethical leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction and negative effect on job performance, but not significant. Meanwhile, authentic leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, but not significantly on job performance. In addition, this study also finds that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on job performance and acts as a mediator in the influence of authentic leadership and ethical leadership on job performance. These results build and enrich models of the influence of ethical leadership, authentic leadership, job satisfaction on job performance in existing. In addition, this study recommends that superiors have a personality that is liked by their subordinates, so that it has an impact Keywords: ethical leadership, authentic leadership, job satisfaction, job performance, millennial generation employees. Job performance pegawai dari generasi milenial menjadi hal yang mulai banyak diteliti karena proporsinya mulai meningkat. Gaya kepemimpinan dan kepuasan kerja merupakan faktor yang ditengarai memengaruhi job performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh ethical leadership, authentic leadership terhadap job performance yang dimediasi job satisfaction. Penelitian ini berdesain crosssectional yang melibatkan 350 pegawai generasi milenial Kantor Pelayanan Utama Tipe A Bea dan Cukai Tanjung Priok yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan perangkat lunak AMOS 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ethical leadership berpengaruh positif terhadap job satisfaction dan negatif terhadap job performance, tetapi tidak signifikan. Sementara itu, authentic leadership berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job satisfaction, tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap job performance Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mendapatkan bahwa job satisfaction berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap job performance dan berperan sebagai mediator dalam pengaruh authentic leadership  dan ethical leadership terhadap job performance. Hasil ini membangun dan memperkaya model pengaruh ethical leadership, authentic leadership, job satisfaction terhadap job performance yang sudah ada. Selain itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan  agar atasan memiliki kepribadian yang disenangi bawahan, sehingga berdampak pada job satisfaction dan job performance bawahan. Nowadays universities are going through the transition due which new performance standards have been created. In such situation, performance of employees can be enhanced through effective ethical leadership. The current study has examined the dynamic links between job satisfaction, job performance and ethical leadership in the academia of Pakistan. Using a cross sectional design, quantitative data were collected from 150 academic staff working in three universities. Data were analyzed both by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that four characteristics, i.e., practicing preacher; safe haven creator; moral motivator and ethical justice were positively associated with job performance, whereas this link was partially mediated by job satisfaction. The results obtained were in a strong concurrence with the existing literature. Hence, universities of Pakistan should focus on developing ethical leadership among their employees. In this way, universities can grow and contribute towards the socioeconomic development of Pakistan.

Purpose Leadership has a decisive role in the success of all types of businesses and firms, including small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the ethical behavior of leaders is a key component which brings a sense of respect, fulfillment, trustworthiness and acceptance among the employees, which later become visible in their job performance (JP). This study aims to check the immediate effect of ethical leadership (EL) on employee’s JP (EJP) and also explore the indirect mediating effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on this EL and EJP nexus. Design/methodology/approach Primary data was obtained from the employees of manufacturing SMEs of Northern Italy using a cross-sectional design from the end of 2019 to the start of 2020. This paper circulated 450 self-administered questionnaires using simple random sampling, and 202 (44.88%) valid questionnaires were returned. The PROCESS macro was performed using statistical package for social sciences to ensure whether or not EL affects EJP and is there any mediation effect of CSR present in this nexus. Findings The results indicate that EL has a strong positive connection with EJP and CSR. Interestingly, CSR positively influences EJP. Furthermore, the results also report the strong mediating effect of CSR in the nexus of EL and EJP. Originality/value This scholarly work seeks to contribute not only to the literature of EL and EJP but also enriches the understanding of this EL-EJP association by highlighting the indirect effect of mediating variable CSR in the SME sector.

Ethical leadership is become fundamental part for the developing businesses. Due to need of caring and ethical leaders the study consider the ethical leadership aspects by considering follower’s personality traits and inadvertent effects of emotional labor on follower’s job performance and follower’s perceived stress. This implies that when leaders have high and low level of ethical leadership they show an increase in followers’ management of emotions. Study also examined that how ethical leadership influences the organizational outcomes by considering the mediating role of emotional labor and moderating role of personality traits. Questionnaire survey was used to collect the data by different banks of Gujranwala city. 200 responses were collected within one month. Result divulged that ethical leadership has negative effect on follower’s perceived stress and positive impact on follower’ job performance. After applying different statistical tools results indicated that in high ethical leadership employees not show their regulated emotions then followers stress level will increase and their performance of the job will decrease. Findings show that in moderate level ethical leadership employees showed their genuine emotions which increases their job performance and decreases their stress. Results revealed that employees management of emotions (surface acting and deep acting ) increases the employees job performance and decreases the followers perceived stress when followers personality traits are moderated.
