This prospective cohort study analyzed the role and use of tranexamic acid (ATX) in control of bleeding in patients undergoing primary total hip arthroplasty. The observation was based on administration of a single dose of venous tranexamic acid 20 mg per kg of weight of patients after anesthetic induction.
