Rapid social-economic development and the ever-increasing water pollutant discharge of Wuliangsuhai lake basin made the water quality deteriorated; the lake eutrophication intensified and heavily restricted the sustainable development of the watershed’s social economy. Wuliangsuhai lake basin was selected as the study area. By the use of system dynamics simulation model the water environment and social economy were connected, and three kinds of improved scenarios (resource-environment constrained type, social economy constrained type, coordinated development type) were proposed based on the inertial and planning schemes. Ten indexes of water environment carrying capacity, i.e. the GDP per capita, ratio of industrial output to GDP, et al., were selected, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used. Results showed that, the water environmental capacity utilization ratios of COD and TN in the resource-environment constrained scenario were 69.5% and 57.9% in 2020, respectively. And the water environment carrying capacity index increased from 0.19 in 2008 to 0.31 in 2020. Under the coordinated development scenario, the surplus environmental capacity of COD and TN were 1755.46t/a, 260.21t/a respectively, and the water environment carrying capacity index was up to 0.29 in 2020. The sustainable development plan was proposed and some feasible suggestions and strategies were put forward.

Social Economy institutions seek to provide answers to social problems, given that they naturally have a socially responsible mission. This study aims to answer the research question: how sustainable practices, namely environmental behaviour, have been adopted by Portuguese Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS) with the purpose of contributing to Sustainable Development? To achieve this objective, qualitative research was carried out in 31 IPSS, which was framed within the scope of the TFA project (Theoretical framework for promotion of accountability in the social economy sector: the IPSS case). Semi-structured interviews were conducted, with a script based on the literature review, from May to July 2019, with those responsible for the management of these entities. A content analysis was conducted, using the NVivo12 Version 12.6.0 software, which enables data to be coded and categorised, reducing any researcher bias. The results indicate that most entities carry out activities of an environmental nature, related to the reuse of materials, the recycling of waste, the sale of materials for recycling, and user awareness. Several entities expressed financial limitations to the implementation of Environmental Management Systems and their accomplishment. However, the objections presented are not impossible to overcome, according to studies presented in other countries.

Abstract The objective was to identify the contributions that companies have made to social, economic and environmental improvement, as development in Colombia, it was developed under the qualitative approach, with analytical design framed by categories, with a population of 67 companies, with instruments for collecting Information, the questionnaire and interview. Among the results it was evident that organizations cannot be seen as islands, but part of society, responsible, economic, development, community, vital importance, organization, organisms, environment, survival adaptability, transformation, integrality, ethical values, public policies, improvement, quality, life, environment and solidarity. In conclusion it should be understood that they are not constituted as a rigid system, but open behaving differently. It is recommended to organize a social, economic and environmental improvement plan that includes public policies of the local environment, in addition to promoting and aiming to have a better quality of life and nature through innovative, reliable, responsible 0.and rigorous programs. This article embarks from the nature and social economy conditions of the Three Gorges Reservoir in Chongqing. It has analyzed the question which the Three Gorges Reservoir’s countries meet about sustainable development and initially proposed the guidance pattern of countryside sustainable development, Agricultural industry, ecological agriculture, characteristic agriculture and village traveling. According this, it provides the countermeasure and suggestion .So it provides the reference for the economy development of the Three Gorges Reservoir’s countries and the new rural reconstruction.

This paper analyze the relativity of water resources utilization in Minqin and social economic sustainable development adopting optimal multiple regressions. The results show that: 1There is remarkable correlation between the economic growth and the demand of water resources. On condition that the sustainable development of economy is satisfied, the growth of rural population is a huge pressure on water resources. It is an appropriate measure to coordinate the environmental protection and social economic development that reducing the consumption of water for rural population or accelerating the process of urbanization and developing forestry and animal husbandry. 2) Increasing urban population and developing industry and modern farming can promote our economic growth at the same time reduce the pressure on water resources significantly. 3) 97.5% of the variation in the total water requirement of Minqin is caused by two variables animal husbandry output value and rural population. So the major routes of rational utilization of water resources and the sustainable development of social economy in Minqin are reducing the consumption of water for rural population constantly or accelerating the process of urbanization and optimizing animal husbandry industry further.

Local development strategies, policies and initiatives that contribute to sustainable development are gaining increasing prominence. Cooperative societies—the most relevant organisations within the social economy—are widely present in Andalusia and play a key role in boosting sustainable development through their principles and values. On this basis, the article aims to determine whether certain areas in Andalusia are more predisposed to the presence of these enterprises and are more sustainable as a result. The methods used include an adapted shift-share analysis and application of local Moran’s I to obtain spatial clusters allowing the areas most favourable to the presence of this type of organisation to be identified. Therefore, one of the main contributions of the study is that it provides a tool for the application of local development policies, strategies and initiatives involving cooperatives in pursuit of a more sustainable society.

The role of natural disaster adaptation is increasingly being considered in academic research. The Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goal 13 require measuring the progress made on this adaptation. This review summarizes the development stages of adaptation, the multiple attributes and analysis of adaptation definitions, the models and methods for adaptation analysis, and the research progress of natural disaster adaptation. Adaptation research methods are generally classified into two types: case analysis and mathematical models. The current adaptive research in the field of natural disasters focuses primarily on the response of the social economy, especially the adaptive decision making and risk perception at farm-level scales (farmer households). The evaluation cases of adaptation in the field of disasters exist mostly as a part of vulnerability evaluation. Adaptation and adaptive capacity should focus on four core issues: adaptation to what; who or what adapts; how does adaptation occur; what is adaptation; and how good is the adaptation. The main purpose of the “spatial scale–exposure–vulnerability” three-dimensional scales of adaptation assessment is to explore the differences in index system under different scenarios, the spatial pattern of adaptations, and the geographical explanation of its formation mechanism. The results of this study can help and guide future research on integrating climate change and disaster adaptations especially in regional sustainable development and risk reduction strategies.
