This chapter outlines the advantages of digital epigraphy in the context of the original monuments. It analyzes the perception of epigraphic publication of monuments, taking into account new technologies. 3DVR models can be created using architectural drawings and measurements (CAD and 3D modeling), 3D scanning, and Structure for Motion (SfM). These systems present different advantages and challenges, which are discussed. Current options for publication include VSim, 3D GIS, and Unity 3D platforms. The issues of peer review of publications and long-term preservation of data are addressed. The chapter concludes with a consideration of the issue of potentially misleading impressions given by 3DVR representations.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) merupakan sebuah sistem yang umum digunakan sebagai penunjang pembangunan gedung ataupun bangunan lainnya. Namun demikian, BIM memiliki keterbatasan untuk melakukan analisis aspek bangunan yang bersifat keruangan atau spasial. Sementara itu, Geographic Information System (GIS) merupakan sebuah sistem yang memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan proses analisis yang bersifat spasial. Oleh karena itu, integrasi data antara kedua sistem tersebut dapat memberikan solusi untuk melakukan proses analisis spasial pada BIM. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melakukan integrasi data BIM dengan GIS serta membangun basis data spasial data tersebut dengan studi kasus berupa analisis spasial jaringan kabel listrik pada Gedung Freeport Kampus ITB Ganesha. Metode penelitian terdiri dari tiga tahapan umum yaitu konversi data BIM ke dalam GIS, pembangunan basis data spasial, serta analisis jaringan kabel listrik dengan menggunakan algoritma Dijkstra. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini berupa basis data spasial jaringan kabel listrik Gedung Freeport Kampus ITB Ganesha beserta mekanisme analisis spasial jaringan kabel listrik tersebut menggunakan algoritma Dijkstra. Analisis spasial jaringan kabel listrik tersebut diharapkan dapat digunakan pada kegiatan pemeliharaan serta perawatan kelistrikan gedung.

Coordinate axes have been used extensively in three-dimensional (3D) GIS processing to help visualize the location of points directly. Meanwhile, AxSceneControl is a visual control provided by ESRI®ArcGIS®Engine, which is suited to generating perspective scenes that allow user to navigate and interact with 3D feature and raster data. However, there is no direct solution given by ArcGIS Engine to set Coordinate axes in 3D scenes. In this paper, we proposed and implemented an approach to generate and customize coordinate axis in AxSceneControl. By this method, up to five coordinate axes, named as x axis, y axis, z axis, top axis and right axis, can be drawn based on the layer that is loaded to the AxSceneControl. Furthermore, users can modify the properties of coordinate axes such as changing the style of degree scale, determining which axis will be shown and resizing the degree density to achieve simple coordinate axis.
