An aluminium cross car beam (CCB) for new energy is designed with CATIA. And then, modal analysis is taken by using simulation software-NASTRAN. As nature frequencies can't meet the design target, optimization is performed according to the modal strain energy contour. After structure is strengthen, the first vertical nature frequency of the aluminum CCB(mounted on trimmed car body, with closures and interiors) reaches 35.4Hz.While the first lateral nature frequency reaches 36.5 Hz. Besides, comparing to steel CCB,the weight of the aluminum CCB reduces by4.4 kilogram.

Abstract In this research, we aim to combine origami units with vibration-filtering metastructures. By employing the bistable origami structure as resonant unit cells, we propose metastructures with low-frequency vibration isolation ability. The geometrical nonlinearity of the origami building block is harnessed for the adjustable stiffness of the metastructure’s resonant unit. The quantitative relationship between the overall stiffness and geometric parameter of the origami unit is revealed through the potential energy analysis. Both static and dynamic experiments are conducted on the bistable origami cell and the constructed beam-like metastructure to verify the adjustable stiffness and the tunable vibration isolation zone, respectively. Finally, a two-dimensional (2D) plate-like metastructure is designed and numerically studied for the control of different vibration modes. The proposed origami-based metastructures can be potentially useful in various engineering applications where structures with vibration isolation abilities are appreciated.

In the model with Chern-Simons potential describing the coupling of electromagnetic field with a two-dimensional material, the possibility of the appearance of bound field states, vanishing at sufficiently large distances from interacting with its macro-objects, is considered. As an example of such two-dimensional material object we consider a homogeneous isotropic plane. Its interaction with electromagnetic field is described by a modified Maxwell equation with singular potential. The analysis of their solution shows that the bound state of field cannot arise without external charges and currents. In the model with currents and charges the Chern-Simons potential in the modified Maxwell equations creates bound state in the form of the electromagnetic wave propagating along the material plane with exponentially decreasing amplitude in the orthogonal to its direction.

Coupling electromagnetic (FE) models to multidomain simulator to analyse eletrical drives and complex control systemsThis work presents the co-simulation approach to the analysis of control systems containing detailed models of electromagnetic and electromechanical converters. In this method of analysis the attention is paid to the whole system and not only to its electromagnetic part. The latter is described by equations resulted from the two-dimensional finite element discretisation of the Maxwell equations, and is coupled weakly with the remaining part of the system. The simulation is carried out in Matlab/Simulink environment wherein the coupling is realised through the S-function. Example results regarding simulation of the operation of the control system of an electrical machine and the operation of a power electronic converter are presented and compared with available reference data.
