Efficient Approach

An efficient approach based on conventional techniques for transient analysis of transmission line circuit initially modelled as large number (N) of segments of lumped components is presented. This technique avoids the simultaneous solution of a large number of variables by computing an equivalent macromodel of each transmission line and splitting the analysis into two levels. The first level deals with a normal circuit analysis in which each transmission line is replaced by a simple lumped equivalent two port companion macromodel having only three resistors and two current sources. However, the initial N-segmented model of transmission line must be separately analyzed at the second level in order to update the transmission line companion macromodel at each timepoint. This latter analysis of the transmission line can be done efficiently using a set of recursive formulae whose complexities depend linearly on N. A simulation result of this technique is presented and compared with SPICE program.

Abstract In this paper a method for a transient analysis on the multi-circuit overhead transmission line with different voltage levels (EHV and HV) is presented. The influence of inductive and capacitive couplings between the parallel circuits placed on the same tower is studied. The transmission line model consists of mutual coupled two-port cascades which can be described by a system of ordinary differential equations (ODE). This system has been solved numerically in MATLAB, the obtained results provide the time distribution of currents and voltages in all conductors along the transmission line. The presented algorithm allows solving various types of transients which can occur during switching off- and on-operations, shortcircuits etc.

The approach is based on retaining the dominant modes of the system and truncation comparatively the less significant once.as the reduced order model has been derived from retaining the dominate modes of the large-scale stable system, the reduction preserves the stability. The strong demerit of the many MOR methods is that, the steady state values of the reduced order model does not match with the higher order systems. This drawback has been try to eliminated through the Different MOR method using sssMOR tools. This makes it possible for a new assessment of the error system Offered that the Observability Gramian of the original system has as soon as been thought about, an H∞ and H2 error bound can be calculated with minimal numerical effort for any minimized model attributable to The reduced order model (ROM) of a large-scale dynamical system is essential to effortlessness the study of the system utilizing approximation Algorithms. The response evaluation is considered in terms of response constraints and graphical assessments. the application of Approximation methods is offered for arising ROM of the large-scale LTI systems which consist of benchmark problems. The time response of approximated system, assessed by the proposed method, is also shown which is excellent matching of the response of original system when compared to the response of other existing approaches .
