Resource Acquisition service is a network-based service that acquires sufficient resources to satisfy the application requirement. Set-top-boxes (STB) are good sources of resource providers delivering this type of service collaboratively. Unfortunately, the accessibility of STBs is controlled by end-node users. It leads to uncertainty of the amount of resource available to the service operators. As an incentive, STB holders acting as resource provider can be remunerated for sharing the resources. Resource acquisition schemes can explore the available resources and provide the upper layer applications with sufficient resources to satisfy the requirements in service level agreement. A remuneration model is developed to reflect the rational decision of resource providers. The authors investigate the resource acquisition scheme under various load distribution and topologies of peer neighbourhood and find that cost-aware Requisition Algorithm can improve the service quality requirement fulfilment in a low cost.

The T-section aluminum alloy window trim strip sheets are used to improve vehicle appearance. As the mobile scenery line, these window trim strips with claws need high forming accuracy to meet good assembly quality requirement. The top portion of the T-section sheet is stamped to form an edge flange structure. Springback control is essential in forming process. In this paper, the influence of the window trim strip geometric parameters on forming springback is studied. Some finite element models of the process were built with the Dynaform software. The simulation results were verified experimentally. The main conclusions include as belows: The different heights of the stiffeners part in T-section change the stiffness of the part. Although the stiffeners part does not participate in the forming, it also has springback in the forming process. So, it is necessary to study the influence of the flanging part width (W) and the stiffeners part height (H) of the T-section on springback. We set W to 15 mm and change the value of H value according to the real product. The value of springback increases with the increase of H value in the beginning. After ratio of H/W increases to 0.6, the value of springback fluctuates with the increase of H value. When ratio of H/W is about 0.5, the springback values are mostly less than ± 0.5 mm in key sections, which is acceptable.

Al-Si alloy casting used in high-voltage switch is of various types, small quantities and high quality, so it is difficult to meet the quality requirement to adopt general production technique in practice. Inclinable-pour technique of no-bake resin sand mould is realized successfully by means of inclinable-pour auxiliary means designed in the paper. This method not only can shorten the processing cycle and decrease the manufacture cost of casting die, but also can improve obviously mechanical characters and quality standards in total of Al-Si Alloy casting.

To the high real-time quality requirement of motion simulation system of airport fire engine simulator, a simulation system with simplified motion model was promoted. The simplified motion model simplifies motion model of vehicle based on application requirement of virtual training of vehicle driving. On one hand, the simplification can reduce calculation amount of simulation, on the other hand, the simplification can make it easier to get parameters of model. Motion simulation system based on simplified motion model of airport fire engine was constructed and experiment was taken. Experiment showed that the motion simulation system has high calculation speed and good fidelity through setting parameters properly.

This paper focuses on the optimization of an internal coordinated procurement logistics system in a steel group and the decision on the coordinated procurement strategy by minimizing the logistics costs. Considering the coordinated procurement strategy and the procurement logistics costs, the aim of the optimization model was to maximize the degree of quality satisfaction and to minimize the procurement logistics costs. The model was transformed into a single-objective model and solved using a simulated annealing algorithm. In the algorithm, the supplier of each subsidiary was selected according to the evaluation result for independent procurement. Finally, the effect of different parameters on the coordinated procurement strategy was analysed. The results showed that the coordinated strategy can clearly save procurement costs; that the strategy appears to be more cooperative when the quality requirement is not stricter; and that the coordinated costs have a strong effect on the coordinated procurement strategy.

The causes of architecture changes can tell about why architecture changes, and this knowledge can be captured to prevent architecture knowledge vaporization and architecture degeneration. But the causes are not always known, especially in open source software (OSS) development. This makes it very hard to understand the underlying reasons for the architecture changes and design appropriate modifications. Architecture information is communicated in development mailing lists of OSS projects. To explore the possibility of identifying and understanding the causes of architecture changes, we conducted an empirical study to analyze architecture information (i.e. architectural threads) communicated in the development mailing lists of two popular OSS projects: Hibernate and ArgoUML, verified architecture changes with source code, and identified the causes of architecture changes from the communicated architecture information. The main findings of this study are: (1) architecture information communicated in OSS mailing lists does lead to architecture changes in code; (2) the major cause for architecture changes in both Hibernate and ArgoUML is preventative changes, and the causes of architecture changes are further classified to functional requirement, external quality requirement, and internal quality requirement using the coding techniques of grounded theory; (3) more than 45% of architecture changes in both projects happened before the first stable version was released.
