 This paper introduces a classification of the image of the batik process, which is based on the similarity of the characteristics, by combining the method of wavelet transform Daubechies type 2 level 2, to process the characteristic texture consisting of standard deviation, mean and energy as input variables, using the method of Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN). Fuzzyfikasi process will be carried out all input values with five categories: Very Low (VL), Low (L), Medium (M), High (H) and Very High (VH). The result will be a fuzzy input in the process of neural network classification methods. The result will be a fuzzy input in the process of neural network classification methods. For the image to be processed seven types of batik motif is ceplok, kawung, lereng, parang, megamendung, tambal and nitik. The results of the classification process with FNN is rule generation, so for the new image of batik can be immediately known motif types after treatment with FNN classification.  For the degree of precision of this method is 86-92%.

Texture Orientation

A novel approach is proposed for measuring fabric texture orientations and recognizing weave patterns. Wavelet transform is suited for fabric image decomposition and Radon Transform is fit for line detection in fabric texture. Since different weave patterns have their own regular orientations in original image and sub-band images decomposed by Wavelet transform, these orientations features are extracted and used as SOM and LVQ inputs to achieve automatic recognition of fabric weave. The experimental results show that the neural network of LVQ is more effective than SOM. The contribution of this study is that it not only can identify fundamental fabric weaves but also can classify double layer and some derivative twill weaves such as angular twill and pointed twill.

To improve accuracy and speed of recognising and classifying grid power quality disturbances, this paper presents a new method which combines complex wavelet transform and particle swarm optimization (PSO) neural network to identify and classify the disturbance . This method extract both amplitude-frequency and phase frequency information of the interference signal to make up for the lack of traditional wavelet transform which only extract the amplitude-frequency information. And on this basis, using particle swarm optimization, we seek the optimal solution of neural network weights and thresholds for the identification and classification of power quality. The MATLAB simulation result has verified the accuracy and rapidity of this method compared with the traditional method .
