Equipments for distribution automation terminal and the corresponding back-up power that can be cold started directly without heating equipments in natural environment at -40°C are developed to suit the extremely cold weather in Northeast China. The ultimate goal is to realize normal operation at a temperature ranging from -50°C to +70°C.

This study is a search for more energy-efficient turning enabled by optimal utilization of the machining facility’s power grid. To that end, the authors have (i) modeled the machining facility on the principles of object-oriented design; (ii) tested the model for adequacy in real-world applications; (iii) devised an approach to implementing specific processes and related design solutions for more energy-efficient machining. Cluster analysis shows that a typical turning line used in small-batch manufacturing may contain up to 20 machines with the following power distribution: 7 0.75-kW machines, 4 1.5-kW machines, 3 2.2-kW machines, 1 3-kW machine, 1 4-kW machine, 1 5.5-kW machine, 1 7.5-kW machine, and 2 11-kW machines. This configuration enables the most power-efficient turning process. The batch for turning should be distributed by the maximum power factor using the object model for the application as well as the author-developed NET-based software. In this approach, all the machines serve as cluster centers that the machined parts are grouped around to make the turning process more energy-efficient by reducing the in-grid electricity loss.

The power distribution network has grown complex and vulnerable as it increases its demand. The system's reliability has become a prominent factor for the end-users, although the continuity of supply in the distribution network still remains a challenge. In order to achieve the same distribution, automation came into the picture. The term “Distribution Automation” usually refers to an advanced switching system, which works as a subsystem of the existing network. The purpose of the subsystem is to offer real-time observation and control in distribution networks and electricity market operations. Consequently, the development of an autonomous system for isolating failures and restoring power for the distribution of LV (low voltage)/MV (medium voltage) can be an attractive solution for improving energy facilities' reliability. Advanced management techniques are devices and algorithms used to analyze, diagnose, and predict conditions in a distribution network, as well as to identify and take appropriate corrective actions to eliminate, mitigate, and prevent power outages and power quality problems. To demonstrate the model, we used a PIC16F877, CT microcontroller, and a power supply unit.

Power Failure in the power system is mainly due to the overloading. The possible damage to the area is losing a power. The Arduino Uno based load control system is a device which automatically control overload on generator by controlling power and cut-off supply whenever consumers exceeds the amount of power supplied for peak period. This is achieved by Arduino Uno, which detect overload and simultaneously cut-off the supply for the period of generator overloading. In this paper system can be automated into two stages are monitoring function and controlling function. In Monitoring function it has to record the meter reading at different location in the system, for normal as well as overload condition which is required for system planning. Distribution Supervisory control and Data Acquisition System (DSCADA) performs some of these monitoring function and controlling function about switching operation that is controlling of relay circuit breaker. The function Impacts on Consumer as well as reliability. The research work to be aimed at developing local full scale distribution automation system which can be control from secondary distribution substation to the consumer end. Power distribution automation expected for the broad areas. The project aimed at uninterrupted power supply for loyal energy consumer by implementation of this the problem of interruption off power supply due to energy misusing consumer can be avoided. This system provides the reliable operation at consumer end.

Concerning the communication infrastructure pertinent construction guidelines, China South Power Grid (CSG) has clearly defined and detailed the data network equipment quality control, test and check. This paper proposes two indicators to monitor the power distribution automation in LTE private wireless network. The first one is the distribution online ratio (DoR), which evaluates the effect of distribution automation infrastructure construction. The second one is distribution tunnel integrity ratio (DiR), which reflects the availability of distribution automation communication tunnel. Furthermore, an indicator computing assistant (ICA) is developed to collect the data of two indicators transmitted by the large number of custom premise equipment (CPE) in LTE private wireless network in a computationally efficient way, which frees the conventionally demanding human and computing resources..
