Palavras-chave: Educação a distância; TV digital interativa; Novas tecnologias aplicadas na educação; Tecnologia da informação e comunicação Abstract This is an article of a developed in progress project in would seem the Direction Technique of Services of the CPqD Telecom & IT Solutions and the College of Education of the UNICAMP, that objective in the distance to establish a support services to the teacher in classroom in 03 Schools of the region of Barão Geraldo in Campinas, SP, to use the Interactive Digital TV as a search tool and practical development of interactive multimedia content in the pedagogical practical ones. Basically this tool will be easy to use as a terminal of choice and exhibition a television set placed in the school’s classrooms and controlled for remote control. The teacher be able to interact with according to the content shown in the television set in order to get a non linear programme that will develop this pedagogical project. The main services characteristics are the easiness of use, supply of the interactive at distance multimedia material, low cost of implantation and covering of a great geographic area, for the almost total availability of signal of television in domestic territory. This service is part of a set of TV-education services that are being developed for the coming System of terrestrial Digital TV that will be implanted in Brazil. Key words: Distance Education; Interactive Digital TV; New Technologies applied in Education

Broadcasting interactive learning applications through the digital TV promises to open new pedagogical perspectives given the wide penetration of the medium. This case deals with an open, flexible learning oriented technological framework for interactive digital TV. The framework is divided into two main parts: the production side, where the course is created and the client side, where it is presented on interactive digital television (iDTV) through an interactive learning environment. The course production is supported by an ad-hoc designed authoring tool, which has been thought for a use by pedagogical experts, while the runtime user interaction on iDTV is managed by a Course Multimedia Player. Experimental television learning (t-learning) courses were created by pedagogical experts and served as an important test and evaluation bench for the framework.

Mobile ad hoc network become nowadays more and more used in different domains, due to its flexibility and low cost of deployment. However, this kind of network still suffering from several problems as the lack of resources. Many solutions are proposed to face these problems, among these solutions there is the clustering approach. This approach tries to partition the network into a virtual group. It is considered as a primordial solution that aims to enhance the performance of the total network, and makes it possible to guarantee basic levels of system performance. In this paper, we study some schemes of clustering such as Dominating-Set-based clustering, Energy-efficient clustering, Low-maintenance clustering, Load-balancing clustering, and Combined-metrics based clustering.

Reliable protection of confidential data processed in critical information infrastructure elements of public institutions and private organizations is topical task today. Of particular interest are methods to prevent the leakage of confidential data by localizing informative (dangerous) signals that both carry an informative component, and have a signal level higher than predefined threshold. The increase in signal energy from personal computers is caused by increasing of its transistors switching speed. Modern passive shielding methods for secured computers, similar to the well-known program TEMPEST, require either costly and large shielding units or technological simplification by using of low-cost fragmentary shielding of computer’s individual elements. Therefore, localization of side electromagnetic radiation produced by personal computer is needed. The paper presents a cost-effective approach to reducing the level of computer’s electromagnetic radiation by passive method. The radiation are localized and measured by its estimation on personal computer’s elements, namely unshielded communication lines between video processor and a monitor, fragments of electric tracks on motherboards, etc. During experiments authors used ad-hoc miniature electric (ball antenna) and magnetic (Hall sensor) antennas connected to selective voltmeters. This approach significantly reduces the cost of equipment and measurements as well as requirements to analytics’ qualification for improving computer’s protection. Also, the alternative approach for computer protection is proposed. The approach is based on image content protection by distorting the image on the monitor instead of reducing electromagnetic radiation caused by signals from the monitor. The protection includes image scrambling using Arnold transform that randomly “shuffle” the lines in each frame.

Smart spaces are defined as an environment capable of communicating with users in order to support them in achieving a goal. Previously, smart spaces were restricted to closed private areas in a well defined environment. However, factors such as the omnipresence of mobile devices, the advancement in wireless communication, and the low cost of technological infrastructure allows the creation of smart spaces everywhere. One trend that is acquiring relevance these days is to use surrounding public resources to perform tasks on behalf of mobile devices, which are resource constrained. To achieve this, systems should be able to control the access to public resources, minimize possible interference among users, and maintain the purpose of public resources untouched. This work presents a multi-user ad-hoc resource manager for smart urban areas based on previous considerations. The current system helps to avoid conflicts between users by means of a distributed scheme based on social gain for the community. The management is performed without the need of a central infrastructure. Results show that it is possible to discover and manage public resources from mobile devices while handling conflicts in a distributed manner.
