The article deals with the methodological understanding of management information systems and their use for modern business. The article considers information flows moving through various structural levels of decision-making in the organization, as well as high-quality software for complex systems. We have studied the information management system (MIS), which includes the process of collecting, processing, storing, retrieving and transmitting relevant data for effective operation management. It is determined that the meaning of information management in organizations is to help solve the problems of institutional growth, development and productivity through the described methods of making better decisions related to the use of resources in a dynamic and changing environment.

Functional independence of international institutions is a sine qua non to their effective operation. Current international law reveals that international organizations have a legal capacity and certain privileges and immunities bestowed upon them by their member states to ensure their independence and that of their staffs. One vital component of functional independence is the freedom of travel for all members of the international staff. In examining the features of freedom of travel necessary for international organizations to discharge their responsibilities effectively, C. W. Jenks wrote:The freedom of movement which is necessary comprises more than the absence of any special restrictions; it includes the usual facilities for official travel, such as diplomatic or other special visas, priorities where these are necessary, exemption from immigration regulations and formalities, and similar measures; taken cumulatively these facilities involve a considerable saving of time and energy and are therefore an important element in securing the expeditious and unhindered travel necessary to the prompt discharge of international responsibilities.

AbstractIntra-plant transport systems within their operation directly impact on the performance of production systems. For their effective operation, it is, therefore, necessary to realize evaluation of operational performance and effectivity. For the realization of this type of evaluation, in addition to a wide range of sensors that can be difficult for installation and operation, we can also use indirect methods that are equally able to provide reliable operational characteristics. Indirect analytical methods are presented above all by the approach which is based on the use of simulation methods. The method of computer simulation provides a wide range of options for the evaluation of efficiency and performance. The paper describes the use of a simulation model created in the program Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for analyzing the supply of production workplaces within the MilkRun system.

This article presents the definitions of the concept of trade services by various scientists, the place and role of trade services in all spheres and sectors of society, as well as a new definition of trade services given by the author. If the main goal of the current stage of economic transformation is to create favorable conditions for the effective operation of trade enterprises, then the main goal of the article is an in-depth study of the essence and content of the concept of trade services as an independent economic entity.

Destratification of reservoirs by the use of artificial mixing is a method of improving the impounded water quality. In order to design a destratification device at Stocks Reservoir, NW England, a Computational Fluid Dynamics model was used to trial different types and sizes of mixing device. It was found that a perforated pipe bubble mixing device performed far better than a large banana blade mixer at destratifying Stocks Reservoir. Two important criteria for the effective operation of a mixing device were established. These were a minimum upflow velocity of entrained water through the reservoir, and the need for a reverse flow along the surface of the reservoir away from the abstraction point. These criteria have been incorporated into design equations which can be extended to use at other reservoirs. A bubble mixer was installed at Stocks Reservoir, and has been shown to fully destratify the reservoir and to reduce the levels of dissolved manganese in the water by more than 50%.
