AbstractCable trees are used in industrial products to transmit energy and information between different product parts. To this date, they are mostly assembled by humans and only few automated manufacturing solutions exist using complex robotic machines. For these machines, the wiring plan has to be translated into a wiring sequence of cable plugging operations to be followed by the machine. In this paper, we study and formalize the problem of deriving the optimal wiring sequence for a given layout of a cable tree. We summarize our investigations to model this cable tree wiring problem (CTW). as a traveling salesman problem with atomic, soft atomic, and disjunctive precedence constraints as well as tour-dependent edge costs such that it can be solved by state-of-the-art constraint programming (CP), Optimization Modulo Theories (OMT), and mixed-integer programming (MIP). solvers. It is further shown, how the CTW problem can be viewed as a soft version of the coupled tasks scheduling problem. We discuss various modeling variants for the problem, prove its NP-hardness, and empirically compare CP, OMT, and MIP solvers on a benchmark set of 278 instances. The complete benchmark set with all models and instance data is available on github and was included in the MiniZinc challenge 2020.

The vibroisolating capability of an elastic object that is assumed to be protected against a class of excitations is studied. It is proposed that this capability be estimated by a quadratic functional. The solution method gives an estimate of the optimal isolation with a criterion of minimum guaranteed quality. A numerical example of the solution technique is presented.

The study of the peculiarities of the infrastructure provision of persons with disabilities in the market of medical services is considered in the article. It has been identified that the state of the infrastructure of the domestic healthcare market is characterized by the provision of medical services for people with disabilities. Every year it decreases due to the reduction of public financing of the medical sector, the inefficient use of budgetary funds, and the imperfection of national legislation, which regulates the functioning of this market. The financial resource and economic potential of the country are not able to meet the needs of persons with disabilities in medical care at a state-guaranteed quality level, especially, despite the rapid increase in the number of persons with disabilities. The factors, which influence the infrastructure provision of persons with disabilities in the market of medical services, are determined. The necessity to develop forms of public and private partnership in this area is grounded. The preconditions for forming the system of infrastructure provision of persons with disabilities in the market of medical services are defined. They are considered as a complex of organizational and economic instruments. This complex aims to expand the opportunities for persons with disabilities, taking into account their individual characteristics. The success of functioning of the whole system of social and economic provision of persons with disabilities and of the separate components of this system mostly depends on the complex and systematic approach to its institutional regulation.

Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser. Online shopping provides a good example of business revolution. Ecommerce has made life Simple and innovative of individual and groups. Consumer behavior on online shopping is different from physical market where he/she has access to see the products online shopping sites are fast replacing traditional or physical shops. Over, the years the trust of the customers for online shopping sites has increased considerably. The increase in the number of these sites on one hand has led to a fierce competition which means better and cheaper products for customers. However, at the same time customers have their privacy concerns when it comes to shopping online. Internet is changing the way consumers shop and buy goods and services and has rapidly evolved into a global phenomenon. The technology oriented factors like guaranteed quality, cash on delivery discounts and promotions are the major specific factors influencing customer’s attitudes toward online shopping. This research paper attempts to analyze the consumer behavior towards online shopping and the various factors influencing trend of online shopping.

We present an online algorithm for scheduling the charging of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in a Charging Station, aiming to optimize the overall quality of service through sum of weighted completion time minimization. Upon arrival of each EV, the algorithm generates a menu of service-price options. By letting the EV users pick their most preferable option, the algorithm offers guaranteed quality of service, achieves near optimal performance, and prevents the users from acting strategically.
