To improve the performance of analog, RF, and digital integrated circuits, the cutting-edge advanced CMOS technology has been widely utilized. We successfully designed and implemented a high-speed and low-power serial-to-parallel (S2P) converter for 5G applications based on the 28 nm CMOS technology. It can update data easily and quickly using the proposed address allocation method. To verify the performances, an embedded system (NI-FPGA) for fast clock generation on the evaluation board level was also used. The proposed S2P converter circuit shows extremely low power consumption of 28.1 uW at 0.91 V with a core die area of 60 × 60 μm2 and operates successfully over a wide clock frequency range from 5 M to 40 MHz.

In last decade, energy efficiency of hydraulic actuators systems has been especially important in industrial machinery applications [1-. And an advanced electronics world most of the applications are developed by microcontroller based embedded system. Energy processor based variable oil flow of hydraulic controller was presented to improve the efficiency of the motor by maintaining with the load sensing. These PIC processor combined with fuzzy controller were help to design efficient optimal power hydraulic machine controller. A functional design of processor and in this system was completed by using load sensing signal to control oil flow. The advantage of the proposed system was optimized operational performance and low power utility. Without having the architectural concept of any motor we can control it by using this method. This is a low cost low power controller and easy to use. The experiment results verified its validity.

Embedded system designers are increasingly relying on Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) as target design platforms. Today's FPGAs provide high levels of logic density and rich sets of embedded hardware components. They are also inherently flexible and can be easily and quickly modified to meet changing applications or system requirements. On the other hand, FPGAs are generally slower and consume more power than Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs). However, advances in FPGA architectures, such as Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration (DPR), are helping bridge this gap. DPR enables a portion of an FPGA device to be reconfigured while the device is still operating. This chapter explores the advantage of using the DPR feature in an automotive system. The authors implement a Driver Assistant System (DAS) based on a Multiple Target Tracking (MTT) algorithm as the automotive base system. They show how the DAS architecture can be adjusted dynamically to different scenario situations to provide interesting functionalities to the driver.

Purpose In this paper, a light-weight, low-power atmospheric multi-parameter sensor (AMPS), which could be mounted on small flying platforms such as a tethered balloon, a quad-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a UAV helicopter, etc., is implemented and integrated to sample vertical distribution of aerosols with integrated parameters of aerosol particle concentration, temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure. Design/methodology/approach The AMPS integrates three kinds of probes in an embedded system. A synchronous method based on GPS is proposed to drive the laser aerosol particle sensor, the temperature and humidity probe and the pressure probe to sample four channels approximately simultaneously. Different kinds of housing are designed to accommodate various flying platforms, and the weight is controlled to adapt the payload of each platform. Findings A series of validation tests show that while the AMPS achieves high precision, its power consumption is less than 1.3 W, which is essential for light flying platforms. The AMPS was mounted on different flying platforms and the difference was evaluated. For three times every five days, vertical profiles of PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations were observed by the AMPS mounted on a quad-rotor UAV, which revealed the significant correlation between the aerosol particle concentration and atmospheric parameters. Originality/value A new light-weight and low-power AMPS for small flying platforms is designed and tested, which provides an effective way to explore the properties of aerosol vertical distribution, and to monitor pollutants flexibly.

Recently Low power custom memory design is the major issue for embedded designer. Micro wind and Xilinx simulator performs efficient cache simulation and high performances with low power consumption. SRAM efficiency analyzed with 6-T architecture design and analyzed the simulation performance for specific application. We have implemented clock based memory architecture design and analyzed internal clock efficiency for SRAM. Architectural clock implemented memory design that reduces access time and propagation delay time for embedded devices. Internal semiconductor material improvement increases simulation performance and these design implemented for application specific design architecture.
