Arch dam is a water retaining structure which has beautiful bodily form and reasonable structure form. In recent years, arch dam has been widely used. This paper adopts finite element method to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Xiuwen hydropower station, research variation law of the dam’s stress and displace in operational process. Research results show that, single curvature arch dam of Xiuwen hydropower station have reasonable structure, good mechanical properties, every index meets the requirements for design.

Mingzhou bridge in Ningbo is a half-through steel box arch bridge with 450m main-span. The bridge adopts welded steel structures except that abutments are made of steel composite structure. High requirements for the bridge construction technology are put forward because of the restrictions including poor geological conditions for bridge site, height limit for aircraft, narrow channel, frequent typhoon. The mid-span arch rib adopts cable hoisting and stayed buckle cable technology for the construction. This paper introduces the construction method during the assembled process of the mid-span arch rib. The numerical simulation analysis for the construction process is carried out. Stress and deformation of the main arch are in a reasonable range, which indicates completing the bridge construction control target successfully.

Nowadays urban subway transport system has transformed its role from auxiliary facilities of urban traffic into a key component in people's lives. It is imperative to promote fire safety level of subway system. This paper simulates the crowd evacuation of the subway train fire. Four passenger densities within the train are set and the results of the software simulation with the calculation results based on specification are compared. It is relatively reliable to reflect the influence of the passenger density on the crowd evacuation, and some suggestions are also given out

Passing ability of articulated vehicles is analyzed, which are combined of different 6×4 tractors and different semitrailers. According to the requirements of GB 1589, the passing ability of different structure articulated vehicles are simulated using AutoTURN. In order to analyze the passing ability impact factor of articulated vehicles in type and structure, simulation analysis is used to study how the tractor front overhang, the distance between center of tractor fifth wheel and the tractor first axle, and the semitrailer first wheel space impact on the passing ability. Reasonable suggestions are proposed by analyzing how the changes of parameters impact on the passing ability. The validity of the simulation model is validated by the test. The results serve as a useful reference for optimizing the articulated vehicle passing ability and promoting the development of vehicle industry technology.

Considering the mixed traffic flow of current urban traffic condition in our country, the paper develops the CHANSIGNAL signal timing system based on the improved TRRL signal timing model. Through simulation analysis and case verification, the system presents the advantages of high accuracy, calculating speed in signal timing for intersection. The system significantly improves the traffic operating condition, which proves the system’s validity and practicality.

This paper studies the precast and cantilever erection process of pre-stressed concrete continuous beam bridge alignment control in short line method, basis on the construction of a light rail. Various stages of bridge construction performed on simulation analysis and calculated by the finite element software MIDAS, concluded the ultimate internal force and deformation values, and the maximum deformation are within the scope of design elevation deviation 20 mm allowed, as to achieve the target of bridge assembly.
