In this paper, a system was introduced, which bases on Flame Cutter NC System and software platform of LabVIEW which the USA NI company developed. Composing of NC machine, partition of modules and assignments, functions confirming, data processing of machining and control, structure of software by the numbers and realization method of two CPUs. The system makes use of multitasking of LabVIEW to make the programmer realize easily the task, which is difficulty to acquire in in tradition programme. It is a kind of comparatively convenient and swift thinking to realize system interface and multitasking by the platform of LabVIEW.

NC machine plays an irreplaceable role in the modern manufacturing because of its high machining processing accuracy, quality stable, flexibility. Through using the Renishaw ML10 laser interferometer detect the positioning accuracy and repositioning accuracy of X axis and Z axis of the HTC20 series of NC machine tools. According to the detection result compensate NC system to meet the machining accuracy requirement. The result shows that the error compensation of NC system is a effective method to improve the position accuracy of NC machine.

Based on open NC system architecture, embedded condition monitoring and diagnosis units were studied with the characteristics of modularization and reconfigurable. The intelligent measurement and control unit can be used to on-line monitoring, fault early warming, intelligent diagnosis and remote maintenance, it provied a solution for group integration monitoring system construction of high-grade NC machine. In this paper, the implementation and function of the intelligent measurement and control unit were introduced from 4 aspects including whole framework, hardware, software and XPE OS. An example of cutting force on-line monitoring were given, which operate well for alarming in unstable cutting condition.

With the development of computer network and automation technology, network production of NC machine tool has become trend in enterprise. Aim at communicate interface of NC machine tool, a NC machine tool control system design based on CAN bus was presented. Asynchronism serial communication software between DNC host computer with NC system and hardware realization of CAN bus communication and the key technologies for realizing system were discussed in detail.

Aiming at the cutting for various kinds of material, in order to solve the problems that the present large band saw equipment at home is poor in the synchronization of the sawing feed and is lack of the dedicated NC system, the paper introduces the electro-hydraulic servo drive and digital control technologies, researches the synchronous servo drive and cutting force feedback control technologies, and develops the sawing machine’s control system based on the above technologies. The NC system has been applied in the CNC band saw equipment of the large Portal style. The saw frame uses the structure driven synchronously by the dual hydraulic cylinders in order to guarantee the accuracy of the feed motion. The control system driven by the electro-hydraulic servo synchronization detects the implementation of a two cylinders and does the displacement feedback to achieve the movement synchronization on both ends of the portal frame using the synchronous control strategy. That ensures the movement accuracy for the CNC band saw equipment of the large Portal style and improves the cutting accuracy and efficiency of the equipment.

This paper is based on the expansion of the CAN bus interface on ARM so that the embedded CNC system to achieve network, and display their respective advantages of field bus technology and embedded technology, so that to set up local area network embedded NC system model. The CNC system designed in this paper has characteristic as follows: high integration, flexible structure, good expansibility and the high performance-to-price ratio and so on.
