Abstract This paper describes the system architecture, requirements and results of a Personal Computer (PC) based distributed control system utilized for monitoring the performance of a heat pipe air heater. The Performance Monitoring System was developed by Proto-Power Corporation for use at Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation’s Danskammer Unit 2 Electric Generating Station.
