A new method for correlation test was presented to study the reliability of a heavy duty vehicle, and the method can combine the real customer usage with the enhancement test on proving ground, and avoid the test blindness. Aiming at the data that were tested on the typical pavements of the customer and enhancement roads of proving ground, the rain-flow counting method was used to obtain the load distribution matrixes , according to the correlation equation, the cumulative fatigue damage and loading spectrums of the 90% customer and proving ground were optimized and calculated. Through the correlation analysis, the pavements enhancement coefficient and the reliability test specifications were obtained. The test results indicate that the new specifications can predict the potential failures of the load carrying structures quickly, shorten the test cycles.

In order to solve the problem which generally exists in assessing high explosive ignition reliability of electro-explosive devices (EED), a new test method, based on information equivalence principle, is proposed on the condition of a relatively smaller sample size for instead. According to the definition of information principle, the method measures the reliability test information by the negative logarithm of ignition probability of EED and converts the test by GJB376-1987 at a larger amount of stimulation with a big sample size to a small one. We adopt this method to assess the ignition reliability of EED used in the emergency opening system. The result is that we just need 29 sample size on the confidence of not less than 95% and the ignition reliability greater than 0.999. Compared with the 2996 sample size in GJB376-1987, the method reduces the sample usage greatly. Tests shows that the small sample test method based on information equivalence principle for the ignition reliability test of EED is accurate, feasible and can meet the objective of experimental design

Reliability test is the most effective way to achieve the data needed in machining center’s reliability design and assessment, and also a compulsory technological way to improve the reliability of the machining center. For the purposes of evaluating and improving the reliability level of machining center effectively, a laboratory reliability test for five-axis machining center was designed. This test method designed in this paper has the characteristics of high pertinence and easily realized in engineering, and it can be generalized as a reliability test criterion for five-axis machining center.
