In recent years, cloud computing and Internet of Things have been the focus of research at home and abroad, the application of them is becoming increasingly wider, and smart campus is the outcome of the application of intergrading the cloud computing and the internet of things. In this paper we first introduce the application of the IOT and the cloud computing in education. Then we raise the model and application framework of smart campus. By the means of analyzing the model and application framework of smart campus base on the cloud computing and the internet of things, we study its function apply. At last we discuss the issues of smart campus to be widely applied.

Smart campus is an inevitable trend in the development of digital campus construction. The internet of things and cloud computing are the key technologies in the construction of smart campus. The authors expound the concepts of smart campus and put forward overall architecture of smart campus based on the internet of things and cloud computing. They elaborate on the network foundation platform, service platform and the construction of intelligent application platform in detail. Finally, discuss the problems should be noticed in the smart campus construction.

Smart Campus is an entity of any kind that uses technology and infrastructure to support and improve its processes, so people can use them better. This paper reviews the literature to contextualize the Internet of Things and its vital importance for the Smart Campus, as well as its relationship with the concepts of cybersecurity and wireless sensor network. We describe the various interrelationships, tendencies, and future development of a Smart Campus, as well as the differences and similarities with the emerging concept of Smart University. This review revealed that the Internet of Things is involved in all fields and can influence and improve the university’s processes to contribute to decision-making, technological development, and academic learning. To conclude, Smart University focuses on improving the infrastructure of universities through technology, with the main purpose of enhancing the quality of the education provided by institutions.

With the vigorous promotion of the construction of smart campus by the ministry of education, the development concept of smart campus will have broad application prospects. However, colleges and universities are still at the stage of digital campus and there are many problems left. It is difficult to complete the transition from digital campus to smart campus. The main problem is that the campus data has only been digitized but not informational. The purpose of this article is to study a smart campus management system based on the Internet of Things technology. This research uses the unified data collection source of face recognition terminal hardware products based on the Internet of Things technology, unified management in the background of the system, and calculates and analyzes the data to obtain valuable campus big data. This study designed and implemented a complete smart campus management system by analyzing the system design principles and design goals. This system is mainly divided into the face recognition terminal hardware and smart campus software system based on the Internet of Things. By analyzing the data generated by students and faculty and staff, it can provide a reference for campus managers to improve management quality, and help teachers and students to formulate more efficient learning and teaching and research plans. This article tests the practicability of the system and obtains the user’s satisfaction as 8.0.
