The sandwich external wall panel is made of fireproof Paper Honeycomb Board (PHB) as kernel material, and the external surface is covered by colorful extruded steel board, while the internal surface is coated with the thermal insulating frothing ceramic board or the calcium silicate board, which works as the insulating layer or protecting layer of the panel. Two types of formation design are suggested, i.e., Type-A and Type-B. After corresponding thermal calculation, the maximum thermal transmission factor is determined as 0.424W/(m2• K), which complies with the threshold stipulated in the National Code for external wall panel used in cold climate area. The newly designed wall panel will save 65% of energy when compared with the traditional one made in 1980.

Thermal performance calculation is the core task of designing power station boiler. By abstracting generalized components and generalized fluid nodes, and defining the process unit and process section at the logic level, the universal physical model of boiler was built in a particular form of flowsheet. Meanwhile, a sequential modular approach was proposed as the main algorithm for boiler thermal calculation based on process system steady-state simulation theory. Two key problems in the algorithm, i.e., module calculations and the logics of calling the modules calculations were explained. Finally, a practically developed system BESS, which has excellent flexibility and extensibility was presented. It turns out that the model and algorithm can be successfully employed in developing the general-purpose software for boiler thermal calculation.

The Mathematical Model

The paper describes the process and results of the development of the light commercial electric vehicle. In order to ensure maximum energy efficiency of the developed vehicle the key parameters of the original electric motor. The article also presents the results of power electronic thermal calculation. For the mathematical model of the vehicle, the driving cycle parameters of the electric platform were determined in accordance with UNECE Regulations No 83, 84. The driving cycle was characterized by four successive urban and suburban cycles. The mathematical model also takes into account the time phases of the cycle, which include idling, vehicle idling, acceleration, constant speed movement, deceleration, etc. The model of the electric part of the vehicle was developed using MatLab-Simulink (SimPowerSystems library) in addition to the mechanical part of the electric car. The electric part included the asynchronous electric motor, the motor control system and the inverter. This model at the output allows to obtain such characteristics of the electric motor as currents, flows and voltages of the stator and rotor in a fixed and rotating coordinate systems, electromagnetic moment, angular speed of rotation of the motor shaft. The developed model allowed to calculate and evaluate the performance parameters of the electric vehicle. Technical solutions of the electric vehicle design were verified by conducting strength calculations. In conclusion, the results of field tests of a commercial electric vehicle are presented.

The calculation of the furnace in the industrial and power boilers is the most important and the most responsible part of the thermal calculation, and it has important influence on the rationalization of energy consumption. In the paper one-dimensional zonal method of the furnace thermal calculation of steam boilers is presented. It can successfully define disposition of flue gas temperature and specific thermal load of screen walls with height of the furnace in case of uneven deposits distribution which vary in size and quality. Its greatest use is for comparing furnace performance under various operating conditions.

This paper presents the development of methods for improving the thermal conductivity of fiber reinforcing materials based on the fabric structures. The thermal analysis of fabric structure in thermal load calculation is performed by Fourier’s Law of Thermal Conduction and Steady-State Thermal calculation in Siemens NX.
