This project is regarding the Motion controlled wheelchair for disabled. We are going to control motorized wheelchair using a head band having motion sensor and Arduino as controller. Problem: “often disabled who cannot walk find themselves being burden for their families or caretakers just for moving around the house. Disabled who are paralysed below head, who may not have functioning arms cannot control joystick controlled electric wheelchair.” This project is to solve their problem using a motion sensor to control their wheelchair. We are aiming towards building a more affordable, unique, low maintenance and available for all kind of head-controlled wheel chair.

This chapter outlines the advantages of digital epigraphy in the context of the original monuments. It analyzes the perception of epigraphic publication of monuments, taking into account new technologies. 3DVR models can be created using architectural drawings and measurements (CAD and 3D modeling), 3D scanning, and Structure for Motion (SfM). These systems present different advantages and challenges, which are discussed. Current options for publication include VSim, 3D GIS, and Unity 3D platforms. The issues of peer review of publications and long-term preservation of data are addressed. The chapter concludes with a consideration of the issue of potentially misleading impressions given by 3DVR representations.

Currently an increasing number of head mounted displays (HMD) for virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) are equipped with integrated eye trackers. Use cases of these integrated eye trackers include rendering optimization and gaze-based user interaction. In addition, visual attention in VR and AR is interesting for applied research based on eye tracking in cognitive or educational sciences for example. While some research toolkits for VR already exist, only a few target AR scenarios. In this work, we present an open-source eye tracking toolkit for reliable gaze data acquisition in AR based on Unity 3D and the Microsoft HoloLens 2, as well as an R package for seamless data analysis. Furthermore, we evaluate the spatial accuracy and precision of the integrated eye tracker for fixation targets with different distances and angles to the user (n=21). On average, we found that gaze estimates are reported with an angular accuracy of 0.83 degrees and a precision of 0.27 degrees while the user is resting, which is on par with state-of-the-art mobile eye trackers.

AbstractThe electric wheelchair gives more autonomy and facilitates movement for handicapped persons in the home or in a hospital. Among the problems faced by these persons are collision with obstacles, the doorway, the navigation in a hallway, and reaching the desired place. These problems are due to the difficult manipulation of an electric wheelchair, especially for persons with severe disabilities. Hence, we tried to add more functionality to the standard wheelchair in order to increase movement range, security, environment access, and comfort. In this context, we have developed an automatic control method for indoor navigation. The proposed control system is mounted on the electric wheelchair for the handicapped, developed in the research laboratory CEMLab (Control and Energy Management Laboratory-Tunisia). The proposed method is based on two fuzzy controllers that ensure target achievement and obstacle avoidance. Furthermore, an extended Kalman filter was used to provide precise measurements and more effective data fusion localization. In this paper, we present the simulation and experimental results of the wheelchair navigation system.
