This article proposed the adaptive harmonic detection based on artificial neural network,and which can test the amplitude and phase of all the harmonics. This paper also proposed the quasi-resonant control ratio strategy of active power filter. This strategy can compensate a specific harmonic of power system in real time, can achieve Static error-free control and with a strong ability of anti-grid frequency fluctuations. The results show that the method is feasible and effective.

Microcomputer relay is a kind of intelligent devices used for detecting and protecting power system. Whenever, it quickly calculate whether the power system is wrong or not on the basis of the fundamental and harmonics detected from power system, And according to the calculating results to obviate the troubles, among them, the fundamental and harmonics acquired accurately in time is the most important part of the power system protection process. The basic principle of d-q fundamental and harmonics voltage detection is presented and on this basis a fundamental and harmonics detection method of presumption the transformation frequency is put forward. The results of the theoretical analysis and MATLAB simulation indicate that the d-q method in this paper can precisely detect the voltage and frequency change of the power system in time, whether the distortion voltage or not in three-phase power system .

This paper describes Detecting Methods for Harmonics of power system has been considered one of the serious harms for power system. The research of harmonics has obtained high attention among people. The researches of harmonics detection have many methods, such as Based on Fryze theory of harmonic power detection, Instantaneous reactive power theory detection method, Fourier Transformation harmonic detection method, wavelet transform detection method, neural networks harmonic detection method etc. Aiming at harmonic detection, the different detection methods of power system harmonics are summarized and compared. This paper reviews the existing harmonic detection methods, and discuss their advantages and disadvantages in terms of detection accuracy and response speed, and finally summarizes the development trend of the harmonic detection method.

The development of power electronics converters has been widespread in the industrial, commercial, and home applications. The device is considered to produce harmonics in non-linear loads. Harmonics cause a decrease in power quality in the electric power system. To prevent a decrease in power quality caused by harmonics in the power system, the detection of harmonics has an important role. Therefore, this paper proposed feed forward neural network (FFNN) for harmonic detection. The design of harmonic detection device is designed with a feed forward neural network method that it has two stages of information processing, namely the training stage and the testing stage. FFNN has input harmonics and THDi as output. To detect harmonics, frst training is conducted to recognize waveform patterns and calculate the fast fourier transform (FFT) process offline. Prototype using the AMC1100DUB current sensor, microcontroller and display. To validate the proposed algorithm, compared by standard measurement tool and FFT. The results show the proposed algorithm has good performance with the average percentage error compared by standard measurement tool and FFT of 5.33 %.

This paper introduces the characteristics of the traction power system of electric railway, and explores the harms to the power system caused by electric railway and the necessity of harmonic suppression of traction power supply system. In order to achieve real-time detection and compensation for harmonic waves of electric railway traction power system, this paper provides an improved harmonic detection method with initial compensating angle of delay time. Detection method is simple, and has better real-time, it can be used to detect selective harmonic for electrified railway.
