In this paper, an improved time-synchronization algorithm is proposed. The improvement of time synchronizing performance was achieved by introducing a stochastic model-based direct compensation of the disturbance effects appearing in the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP)-based time synchronization system. A dynamic model of PTP clock system was obtained by reflecting the three major sources of disturbances, i.e., clock frequency drift, clock rate offset, and network noise. With the application of the dynamic model of the PTP clock system, the effects of the disturbances can be effectively eliminated in the PTP time synchronization control loop. Computer simulations are performed to verify the performance of the proposed time synchronization algorithm by applying the various types of disturbances, including network noise and clock drift. The simulation results are compared with those of other representative time synchronization algorithms, i.e., IEEE 1588 PTP algorithm and Kalman-filter-based algorithm. It is shown that the proposed algorithm improves time synchronizing performance up to 84% with respect to that of the Kalman-filter-based synchronization algorithm when simulated with colored noise type disturbances. The proposed time synchronization algorithm is expected to contribute for the realization of future Ethernet-based industry-plant monitoring and control including IEC 61850-based digital substation.

Time synchronization is important for many applications in Wireless Sensor Networks, how to improve synchronization precision and reduce energy consumption are the two important aspects in Wireless Sensor Networks. In this paper, first, we introduce the TPSN and DMTS algorithms, after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of both. Make use of two algorithms have been integrated. We proposed a DMSN time synchronization algorithm. Experiments show that ,comparing with the TPSN algorithm, DMSN algorithm has lower complexity and energy consumption．It can be easily applied in Wireless Sensor Networks．

The rapid development of various kinds of aerospace application systems requires the appropriate high-accuracy time and frequency standard. This problem can be effectively solved by establishing suitable time and frequency standard in aerospace. Based on the establishment of aerospace satellite visual model, the simulation of satellite visual time on 3-layer constellation structure, including GEO satellite, IGSO satellites and MEO satellites, has been conducted. The visual features of this constellation have been gained. Combining with the major influencing factors of satellite clock correction error, aerospace time synchronization architecture on the basis of layering has been proposed. The time synchronization algorithm in line with this architecture has been researched. The results show that aerospace time frequency standard established based on this layering time synchronization architecture can meet the demand on high-accuracy time frequency of future aerospace application systems.

Abstract In recent years synchronization plays a major issue for secure transmission in mobile adhoc networks. When an attacker modifies the time synchronization algorithm, the nodes will have faulty estimates of other nodes location, leading to chaos. While transmitting under these adverse conditions, packets might be lost or might be sent to wrong locations. Data replication and data diffusion are two methods which are used to solve the problem of data availability. In this paper we propose an algorithm for secure multi hop transmission used for external attacks.
