Company acquisition relation reflects a company's development intent and competitive strategies, which is an important type of enterprise competitive intelligence. In the traditional environment, the acquisition of competitive intelligence mainly relies on newspapers, internal reports, and so on, but the rapid development of the Web introduces a new way to extract company acquisition relation. In this paper, the authors study the problem of extracting company acquisition relation from huge amounts of Web pages, and propose a novel algorithm for company acquisition relation extraction. The authors' algorithm considers the tense feature of Web content and classification technology of semantic strength when extracting company acquisition relation from Web pages. It first determines the tense of each sentence in a Web page, which is then applied in sentences classification so as to evaluate the semantic strength of the candidate sentences in describing company acquisition relation. After that, the authors rank the candidate acquisition relations and return the top-k company acquisition relation. They run experiments on 6144 pages crawled through Google, and measure the performance of their algorithm under different metrics. The experimental results show that the algorithm is effective in determining the tense of sentences as well as the company acquisition relation.

The rapid development of Web 2.0 leads scripting language such as JavaScript to be ubiquitous in web pages; however the dynamic nature and flexibility of JavaScript make its development, debugging, maintenance, and reuse difficult. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of JavaSript security analysis, we propose a new JavaScript analysis method based on program slicing, together with a prototype-implemented JavaScript slicing tool, named JSSlicer. We also present a proof-of-concept application example of JSSlicer where an example of the common mode failure problem is tackled.

This paper is devoted to an upcoming issue in web design: Styling web content to be displayed correctly on devices with various screen shapes. This issue is a consequence of the rapid development of LED displays with a wide variety of screen shapes. Many of them can be connected to a computer which means that one can display web content on them. Such displays are used as indoor and outdoor advertising panels, which makes them very important for business. Also, various smart devices are developing rapidly and they are often web browsing enabled. They come with various screen shapes, which is an imperative of modern design. Hence the need to style web pages in such a way that their content is displayed correctly on all those devices. By now, responsive web design has a solution only for styling web pages to be displayed on rectangular screens with various dimensions by using media queries and flexible grids. The W3C organization is currently working on media queries for round shaped displays, but all new suggested CSS rules are still in the working draft. It is obviously that the development of LED displays is running faster than the development of web standards. For these reasons, a responsive web design testing tool with a various screen shape simulator is built in JavaScript and is available on GitHub. Its main features are described herein. An example of styling a web site for various screen shapes using that testing tool is given in this paper in order to highlight the problems that arise during that process.

Abstract The rapid development of Internet networks in offices, industries, homes, and universities, transforming the conventional system into modern, especially with the Internet. Therefore, it is very important to use a good authentication method to avoid unauthorized user access. Wireless network without authentication can harm users in their activities using Internet access. One of the most effective ways for secure wireless network authentication with Captive portals with Radius authentication method. Captive portals are web pages that control Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) browser access to the Internet. The user who is in authentication is their MAC address. Radius is a service that authenticates and authorizes users to network and network infrastructure. This paper will discuss how to use RADIUS authentication with captive portals to manage user authentication on wireless networks. Built-in security mechanism in Wifi 802.11.x equipment to control who can associate to an Access Point (AP). The use of captive portal so that the AP works without configuration settings, so it does not burden the work of the AP itself. Keywords: Captive Portal, Radius, Authentication, Wireless Network Abstrak Perkembangan jaringan internet yang semakin pesat di kantor, industri, rumah, dan universitas, mengubah sistem konvensional menjadi modern, terutama dengan adanya internet. The past decade has witnessed the rapid development of search engines, which has become an indispensable part of everyday life. However, people are no longer satisfied with accessing to ordinary information, and they may instead pay more attention to fresh information. This demand poses challenges to traditional search engines, which concern more about relevance and importance of web pages. A search engine compresses three modules: crawler, indexer and searcher. Changes are needed for all these three parts to improve search engine's freshness. This paper investigates the first part of search engine crawler, we analyze the requirements for real-time crawler, and propose a novel real-time crawler based on more accurate estimation of refresh time. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed real-time crawler can help search engine improve its freshness.

The PageRank model computes the stationary distribution of a Markov random walk on the linking structure of a network, and it uses the values within to represent the importance or centrality of each node. This model is first proposed by Google for ranking web pages, then it is widely applied as a centrality measure for networks arising in various fields such as in chemistry, bioinformatics, neuroscience and social networks. For example, it can measure the node centralities of the gene-gene annotation network to evaluate the relevance of each gene with a certain disease. The networks in some fields including bioinformatics are undirected, thus the corresponding adjacency matrices are symmetry. Mathematically, the PageRank model can be stated as finding the unit positive eigenvector corresponding to the largest eigenvalue of a transition matrix built upon the linking structure. With rapid development of science and technology, the networks in real applications become larger and larger, thus the PageRank model always desires numerical algorithms with reduced algorithmic or memory complexity. In this paper, we propose a novel preconditioning approach for solving the PageRank model. This approach transforms the original PageRank eigen-problem into a new one that is more amenable to solve. We then present a preconditioned version of the refined Arnoldi method for solving this model. We demonstrate theoretically that the preconditioned Arnoldi method has higher execution efficiency and parallelism than the refined Arnoldi method. In plenty of numerical experiments, this preconditioned method exhibits noticeably faster convergence speed over its standard counterpart, especially for difficult cases with large damping factors. Besides, this superiority maintains when this technique is applied to other variants of the refined Arnoldi method. Overall, the proposed technique can give the PageRank model a faster solving process, and this will possibly improve the efficiency of researches, engineering projects and services where this model is applied.
