Wi-Fi HaLow is an adaptation of the widespread Wi-Fi technology for the Internet of Things scenarios. Such scenarios often involve numerous wireless stations connected to a shared channel, and contention for the channel significantly affects the performance in such networks. Wi-Fi HaLow contains numerous solutions aimed at handling the contention between stations, two of which, namely, the Centralized Authentication Control (CAC) and the Distributed Authentication Control (DAC), address the contention reduction during the link set-up process. The link set-up process is special because the access point knows nothing of the connecting stations and its means of control of these stations are very limited. While DAC is self-adaptive, CAC does require an algorithm to dynamically control its parameters. Being just a framework, the Wi-Fi HaLow standard neither specifies such an algorithm nor recommends which protocol, CAC or DAC, is more suitable in a given situation. In this paper, we solve both issues by developing a novel robust close-to-optimal algorithm for CAC and compare CAC and DAC in a vast set of experiments.

Research subject. Adaptive systems in the concept of the Internet of things. Objective. To analyze and present the capabilities of adaptive systems in relation to the eco-system of the Internet of things. Method. In addition to the scientific approach, graph (network) and algebraic methods are used in the work, as well as methods of complex analysis. Core results. The use of adaptive systems will make it possible to predict the values of environmental parameters and perform a series of actions without user intervention. As a result of this adjustment, the system becomes adaptive, learning and adapting to changes in the environment, or to the modes of the commands given. Practical relevance. The article presents an analysis of systems and provides examples of the use of adaptive systems.

ABSTRACT In order to improve the training quality of high-level athletes in Chinese and American universities, an athlete’s sports information transmission model is designed based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The communication protocol between Ayla module and the main motion control board, Ayla module and client APP or cloud platform, and APP and cloud platform in the system is designed in detail. For the Ayla module, the most important hardware part of the system, the internal composition and software design are described. In the mobile phone client part that is closely related to the user, the MVC architecture is adopted, the singleton and agent design patterns are utilized, and the functional design of each part is elaborated, including APP interface animation, data transmission format, network communication, and database storage. The research results show that the system of this study can handle most of the athlete training information, and the prediction accuracy exceeds the traditional algorithm. This research study is of great significance for improving the training efficiency of high-level athletes and further expanding the scope of application of the IoT.

The existing stand-alone multimedia machines and online multimedia machines in the market have certain deficiencies, so they cannot meet the actual needs. Based on this, this research combines the actual needs to design and implement a multi-media system based on the Internet of Things and cloud service platform. Moreover, through in-depth research on the MQTT protocol, this study proposes a message encryption verification scheme for the MQTT protocol, which can solve the problem of low message security in the Internet of Things communication to a certain extent. In addition, through research on the fusion technology of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, this research designs scheme to provide a LightGBM intelligent prediction module interface, MQTT message middleware, device management system, intelligent prediction and push interface for the cloud platform. Finally, this research completes the design and implementation of the cloud platform and tests the function and performance of the built multimedia system database. The research results show that the multimedia database constructed in this paper has good performance.

This paper discusses the organisations involved in the development of application standards, European regulations and best practice guides, their scope of work and internal structures. It considers their respective visions for the requirements for future standardisation work and considers in more detail those areas where these overlap, namely human centric or integrative lighting, connectivity and the Internet of Things, inclusivity and sustainability.
