Resumen El propósito de este documento es describir un campo de la realidad virtual, la realidad aumentada, término que hace referencia a una tecnología que está adquiriendo gran importancia en diferentes áreas por sus diversas aplicaciones y novedad. El objetivo de un sistema con realidad aumentada es combinar la imagen registrada por un usuario del mundo real a través de un dispositivo, con elementos tridimensionales procesados a través de una computadora. Esta característica permite a la tecnología de la realidad aumentada convertirse en un instrumento útil en áreas como educación, publicidad, desarrollo y comercialización en la industria, así como en entretenimiento, medicina y otras ciencias; se fundamenta en la combinación de otras tecnologías y es partícipe en la generación de técnicas de interacción hombre-máquina. Palabras ClaveEducación, multimedia, realidad aumentada, tecnología emergente.   Abstract The purpose of this paper is to describe a field of virtual reality, augmented reality, a term that refers to a technology that is gaining importance in different areas for various applications and novelty. The goal of an augmented reality system is to combine the image recorded by a real-world user through a device with three-dimensional elements processed through a computer. This feature allows the augmented reality technology into a useful tool in areas such as education, publicity, development and marketing in the industry as well as entertainment, medicine and other sciences, is based on a combination of other technologies and is participating techniques to generate human-machine interaction. Augmented reality (AR) is a fairly new technology enabling human machine interaction by superimposing virtual information on a real environment. Potential applications can be found in many areas of research from recent years. This study presents a systematic review of existing AR systems in the automotive field, synthesizing 55 studies from 2002 to 2019. The main research questions are: where AR technology has been applied within the automotive industry, what is the purpose of its application, what are the general characteristics of these systems, and what are the emphasized benefits and challenges of using AR in this field? The aim of this paper is to provide an insight into the AR applications and technologies in the automotive field.

Presently, several jobs require the collaboration of humans and machines to perform different services and tasks. The ease and intuitiveness of the worker when using each machine will not only improve the worker’s experience but also improve the company’s productivity and the satisfaction that all users have. Specifically, electromechanical devices used to provide cleaning services require complex interactions. These interactions determine the usability and performance of devices. Therefore, devices must have appropriate ergonomic arrangements for human–machine interactions. Otherwise, the desired performance cannot be achieved. This study analyzes the performance of an urban cleaning device (pressure washer on a power take-off van) using human–machine interaction method. The method measures visceral and behavioral levels (set by Norman) and service times. Using these measurements, the usability of the pressure washer is determined according to different factors that facilitate the operator’s well-being in the working environment. A pressure washer from Feniks Cleaning and Safety, Limited Company, has been studied. Sixteen errors related to ergonomics, usability and safety were identified in this machine, which operates in more than 40 locations in Spain. Therefore, this study provides valuable information on the usability and performance of pressure washers, as well as possibilities for improvement.

The world is living the fourth industrial revolution, marked by the increasing intelligence and automation of manufacturing systems. Nevertheless, there are types of tasks that are too complex or too expensive to be fully automated, it would be more efficient if the machines were able to work with the human, not only by sharing the same workspace but also as useful collaborators. A possible solution to that problem is on human–robot interaction systems, understanding the applications where they can be helpful to implement and what are the challenges they face. This work proposes the development of an industrial prototype of a human–machine interaction system through Augmented Reality, in which the objective is to enable an industrial operator without any programming experience to program a robot. The system itself is divided into two different parts: the tracking system, which records the operator’s hand movement, and the translator system, which writes the program to be sent to the robot that will execute the task. To demonstrate the concept, the user drew geometric figures, and the robot was able to replicate the operator’s path recorded.
