Sinusoidal shear deformation theory is presented to analyze the natural frequencies of simply supported laminated composite plates. The governing differential equations based on sinusoidal theory are solved by a Navier-type analytical method. The present results are compared with the available published results which verify the accuracy of sinusoidal theory.

AbstractThe variational iteration method (VIM) proposed by Ji-Huan He is a new analytical method for solving linear and nonlinear equations. In this paper, the variational iteration method has been applied in solving nth-order fuzzy linear differential equations with fuzzy initial conditions. This method is illustrated by solving several examples.

SynopsisTwo-dimensional differential systemsare considered, where P and Q are polynomials. The question of interest is the maximum possible numberof limit cycles of such systems in terms of the degree of P and Q. An algorithm is described for determining a so-called focal basis; this can be implemented on a computer. Estimates can then be obtained for the number of small-amplitude limit cycles. The technique is applied to certain cubic systems; a class of examples with exactly five small-amplitude limit cycles is constructed. Quadratic systems are also considered.

This paper deals with the problem of Lyapunov inequalities for local fractional differential equations with boundary conditions. By using analytical method, a novel Lyapunov-type inequalities for the local fractional differential equations is provided. A systematic design algorithm is developed for the construction of Lyapunov inequalities.
