In the title compound, {[Zn2(C10H8O6)2(C10H14N4)(H2O)2]·2H2O} n , the ZnII atom is six-coordinated by one N atom from one 1,4-bis(1H-imidazol-l-yl)butane ligand and five O atoms from two different (p-phenylenedioxy)diacetate ligands and one water molecule in a very distorted ZnNO5 octahedral environment. Two (p-phenylenedioxy)diacetate ligands bridge two ZnII atoms to form a dimer. The dimers are further linked by the centrosymmetric 1,4-bis(1H-imidazol-l-yl)butane ligands, thus forming a chain structure. O—H...O hydrogen bonds link the chains, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular network.

The 1,10-phenanthroline-chelated CoII atom in the polymeric title compound, {[Co(C7H4O6S)(C12H8N2)(H2O)2]·1.5H2O} n , is connected to the sulfonate O atom of one 4-hydroxy-3-sulfonatobenzoate dianion and to the carboxylate O atom of another dianion. It is also coordinated by two water molecules in a trans-CoN2O4 octahedral environment. The dianion links adjacent metal atoms into a chain running along [110]. The chains are linked by O—H...O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

In the title compound, [Co(C6H3N4O2)2(H2O)2]·2H2O, the CoIIatom is located on an inversion center in a slightly distorted octahedral environment formed by the O atoms of two water molecules, and the N and O atoms of the chelating tetrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine-8-carboxylate anions. Hydrogen bonds of the O—H...O and O—H...N types result in a three-dimensional supramolecular network.

The Cd atom in the title compound, [Cd(C12H10N2O)3](NO3)2, adopts a distorted octahedral geometry, being ligated by six N atoms from three different phenyl-2-pyridyl ketone oxime ligands. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a chain structure propagating along [100]. The chains are further linked into a three-dimensional supramolecular structureviavan der Waals forces.

In the title compound, [Cu(C11H8NO3)(CH3COO)(C10H8N2)]n, the CuIIion is six-coordinated by two N atoms from two 4,4′-bipyridine ligands, four O atoms from one acetate ligand, one 2-(4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinolin-1-yl)acetate ligand and one water molecule in a distorted octahedral geometry. The 4,4′-bipyridine ligands interconnect [Cu(C11H8NO3)(CH3COO)] units, giving rise to a chain along [010]. These chains are further linked to each other by O—H...O hydrogen bonds, leading to a two-dimensional supramolecular network parallel to (100).
