The method of self-similar approximations for considering strongly interacting systems is generalized by introducing a new parameter called the fixed-point distance. This generalization makes it possible to achieve a high accuracy of the method even in the case of renormalization near unstable fixed points. The consideration is exemplified by calculating an integral with the mathematical structure typical of the partition function of statistical mechanics.
