AbstractTopology effects have being extensively studied and confirmed in strongly correlated condensed matter physics. In the limit of large number of colors, baryons can be regarded as topological objects—skyrmions—and the baryonic matter can be regarded as a skyrmion matter. We review in this paper the generalized effective field theory for dense compact-star matter constructed with the robust inputs obtained from the skyrmion approach to dense nuclear matter, relying on possible “emergent” scale and local flavor symmetries at high density. All nuclear matter properties from the saturation density n0 up to several times n0 can be fairly well described. A uniquely novel—and unorthdox—feature of this theory is the precocious appearance of the pseudo-conformal sound velocity $v^{2}_{s}/c^{2} \approx 1/3$ v s 2 / c 2 ≈ 1 / 3 , with the non-vanishing trace of the energy momentum tensor of the system. The topology change encoded in the density scaling of low energy constants is interpreted as the quark-hadron continuity in the sense of Cheshire Cat Principle (CCP) at density $\gtrsim 2n_{0}$ ≳ 2 n 0 in accessing massive compact stars. We confront the approach with the data from GW170817 and GW190425.

The quark condensate which enters the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner (GMOR) relation, is investigated in the framework of one-gluon-exchange models. The usual definition of the quark condensate via the trace of the quark propagator produces a logarithmic divergent condensate. In the product of current mass and condensate, this divergence is precisely compensated by the bare current mass. The finite value of the product in fact does not contradict the relation recently obtained by Cahill and Gunner. Therefore the GMOR relation is still satisfied.

Chiral symmetry breaking at finite baryon density is usually discussed in the context of quark matter, i.e. a system of deconfined quarks. Many systems like stable nuclei and neutron stars however have quarks confined within nucleons. In this paper we construct a Fermi sea of three-quark nucleon clusters and investigate the change of the quark condensate as a function of baryon density. We study the effect of quark clustering on the in-medium quark condensate and compare results with the traditional approach of modeling hadronic matter in terms of a Fermi sea of deconfined quarks.

The semileptonicBs(B)→K2⁎(a2,f2)lν,l=τ,μ, transitions are investigated in the frame work of the three-point QCD sum rules. Considering the quark condensate contributions, the relevant form factors of these transitions are estimated. The branching ratios of these channel modes are also calculated at different values of the continuum thresholds of the tensor mesons and compared with the obtained data for other approaches.
