In the Standard Model, the top quark decay width Γt is computed from the exclusive t → bW decay. We argue in favor of using the three body decays [Formula: see text] to compute Γt as a sum over these exclusive modes. As dictated by the S-matrix theory, these three body decays of the top quark involve only asymptotic states and incorporate the width of the W boson resonance in a natural way. The convolution formula commonly used to include the finite width effects is found to be valid, in the general case, when the intermediate resonance couples to a conserved current (limit of massless fermions in the case of W bosons). The relation Γt = Γ(t → bW) is recovered by taking the limit of massless fermions followed by the W boson narrow width approximation. Although both calculations of Γt are different at the formal level, their results would differ only by tiny effects induced by light fermion masses and higher-order radiative corrections.

In this paper, we calculate rare top quark 2-body and 3-body decays in the littlest Higgs Model with T-parity (LHT). We find that the branching ratios of [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] [Formula: see text] can be greatly enhanced in the LHT model in the allowed parameter space. The recent measurements of the decay [Formula: see text] can give a strong constraint on the LHT parameters and the decays of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] can be accessible at the LHC.

In the little Higgs model with T-parity (LHTM), the only tree-level kinematically allowed two-body decay of the ZH boson can be the ZH→AHH decay and thus one-loop induced two-body decays may have a significant rate. We study the ZH→γAH decay, which is induced at the one-loop level by a fermion triangle and is interesting as it depends on the mechanism of anomaly cancelation of the model. All the relevant two- and three-body decays of the ZH gauge boson arising at the tree-level are also calculated. We considered a small region of the parameter space where f is still allowed to be as low as 500 GeV by electroweak precision data. We analyzed the scenario of a Higgs with a mass of 120 GeV. We found that the ZH→γAH branching ratio can be of the order of a tree-level three-body decay and may be at the reach of detection at the LHC for f close to 500 GeV, but it may be difficult to detect for f = 1 TeV . There is also an scenario where the Higgs boson has an intermediate mass such that the ZH→AHH decay is closed, the ZH→γAH gets considerably enhanced and the chances of detection get a large boost.

We discuss the Top-Mode pseudo-Nambu–Goldstone Boson Higgs (TMpNGBH) model which has recently been proposed as a variant of the top quark condensate model in light of the 125 GeV Higgs boson discovered at the LHC. In this talk, we focus on the vacuum alignment and the phenomenologies of characteristic particles of the TMpNGBH model.
