We make predictions for the correlation between 〈pT〉 and the multiplicity in the context of the minijet formalism applied to very high energy nuclear collisions. 〈pT〉 is shown to depend almost linearly on n and the slope of this approximate straight line increases for the noncentral rapidity region. Comparison with predictions made by hydrodynamical models is made.
