In non-central high energy heavy ion collisions, the initial spatial anisotropy is transferred to the final momentum anisotropy due to a pressure gradient in the collision participants. We present the pT and centrality dependence of the azimuthal anisotropy for charged hadrons in different energies and collision systems measured by the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. The relation of initial geometrical eccentricity to the azimuthal anisotropy will also be discussed.
