We analyse velocity fluctuations inside coherent vortices generated as a result of the inverse cascade in the two-dimensional (2-D) turbulence in a finite box. As we demonstrated in Kolokolov & Lebedev (Phys. Rev. E, vol. 93, 2016, 033104), the universal velocity profile, established in Laurie et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett., vol. 113, 2014, 254503), corresponds to the passive regime of the flow fluctuations. This property enables one to calculate correlation functions of the velocity fluctuations in the universal region. We present the results of the calculations that demonstrate a non-trivial scaling of the structure function. In addition the calculations reveal strong anisotropy of the structure function.

AbstractTwo-dimensional (2D) material of silicon phosphide (SiP) has recently been shown as a promising optical material with large band gap, fast photoresponse and strong anisotropy. However, the nonlinear optical properties of 2D SiP have not been investigated yet. Here, the thickness-dependent in-plane anisotropic third-harmonic generation (THG) from the mechanically exfoliated 2D layered SiP flakes is reported. The crystal orientation of the SiP flake is determined by the angle-resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy. The angular dependence of the THG emission with respect to the incident linear polarization is found to be strongly anisotropic with the two-fold polarization dependence pattern. Furthermore, the effect of the SiP flake thickness on the THG power is analyzed.

A.A. Berzin, A.I. Morosov, and A.S. Sigov The influence of defects of the “random local field” type with an anisotropic distribution of random fields on two-dimensional models with continuous symmetry of the vector order parameter is considered. In the case of weak anisotropy of random fields, with decreasing temperature there takes place a smooth transition from the paramagnetic phase with dynamic fluctuations of the order parameter to the Imry-Ma phase with static fluctuations caused by fluctuations of the random field of defects. In the case of strong anisotropy of random fields, defects lead to an effective decrease in the number of components of the order parameter and the appearance of a phase transition to an ordered state at finite temperature.
