ABSTRACTPraseodymium doped CaFe2As2 (122 structure) and CaFeAs2 (112 structure) are characterized by modulated Low Magnetic Field Microwave Absorption (LFMA) spectroscopy. In both (Pr,Ca)122 and (Pr,Ca)112 structures, a strong hysteretic LFMA is found, with a TcH of ∼30 K and ∼26 K, respectively. However, in (Pr,Ca)122, measurements also show an unusual Narrow Peak (NP) LFMA signal appearing at higher temperatures, above the lower TcH superconducting state until a TcNP of 49 K. We associate this NP LFMA with interfacial superconductivity, which has been found previously by highly anisotropic magnetization measurements. Furthermore, the absence of NP in (Pr,Ca)112 correlates with the absence of an interfacial phase. These results give useful information about the microwave signature of interfacial superconductivity present in the (Pr,Ca)122 system, and may form a roadmap towards a stabilized high temperature superconducting phase in pnictides.

In this study, 77Se NMR measurements were carried out to detect the π spin polarization of the organic BETS (BETS = Bis(ethylenedithio)tetraselenafulvalene) molecule of the field induced superconductor, λ-(BETS)2Fe1−xGaxCl4, which shows a superconducting transition at relatively low magnetic field compared to the non-doped λ-(BETS)2FeCl4. From the analysis of the NMR spectrum at low temperature, it was clarified that the exchange interaction between π and 3d spins in the Ga doping system is smaller than that in the Fe salt. It is also clarified that the conduction π spins feel the “averaged” exchange field from the localized 3d spins at the dilute Fe sites.

Non-resonant microwave absorption (NRMA) studies have been done on a 100 Å thick Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O film fabricated on MgO substrate by MOCVD. Temperature dependence of NRMA intensity reveals that the intensity becomes maximum at around 30 K, 40 K and 55 K, and minimum at around 35 K and 50 K. The sign (or phase) of the signal changes by passing through these intensity minimum temperatures. Furthermore, the linewidths of the NRMA signals anomalously increase in the vicinity of these temperatures.
