AbstractThe Yixian Formation (the Lower Cretaceous) of China is world famous for its fossils of early angiosperms. Although these diverse angiosperms demonstrate an unexpectedly great diversity, few are preserved as whole plants (not mention of monocots), making our understanding of them incomplete. Here, we report a fossil angiosperm, Sinoherba ningchenensis gen. et sp. nov (Sinoherbaceae fam. nov.), from the Yixian Formation of China; this fossil has a physically connected underground stem with fibrous rootlets, a stem with branches and nodes, leaves with parallel-reticulate veins, and a panicle of female flowers with an ovary surrounded by perianth. Morphological and phylogenetic analyses revealed that Sinoherba is an herbaceous monocot taxon. This newly discovered fossil underscores the great diversity of angiosperms in the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation.

A new sawfly of Megalodontesidae, Jibaissodes peichenaesp. nov., is described from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Northeastern China. It is established mainly based on the pectinate antenna comprising 42 flagellomeres and the proximal 28 bearing apical rami, which gradually shorten in length toward the apex of the flagellum. The pterostigma of the forewing is infuscated apically and on the hind wing, vein 1-Rs is nearly equal to 1r-m and slightly shorter than 1-M. The first tergum is widely excised posteriorly and roundly protruding laterally alike in Megalodontes. This find supports that pectinate antennae in extant sawflies of Megalodontesidae originated at least during or before the Early Cretaceous.

The first skiff beetle fossil and earliest myxophagan,Hydroscapha jeholensisn. sp., is described and illustrated on the basis of a single specimen from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation at Huangbanjigou of Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, Northeastern China. Based on the combination of diagnostic characters of this specimen (e.g., minute and fusiform body, short elytra, tapered abdomen, separated meso- and metacoxae, and 3-segmented tarsi), we suggest that it is a definitive representative of Hydroscaphidae belonging to the widespread hydroscaphid genusHydroscaphaLeConte, 1874. It also represents the only impression fossil of the beetle suborder Myxophaga. This find displays great significance for shedding light on the preservation of the minute aquatic beetles, since it is the first well-preserved impression fossil reported for the suborder, rather than amber inclusion.

Protoliupanshania wangi, new genus and species, is described from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of western Liaoning, China. It is probably the sister genus of the clade that comprises all other liupanshaniid genera, based on current knowledge of the wing venation of Paramesuropetala.

A detailed description of the skull and mandible of the Chinese cerapodan ornithischian dinosaur Jeholosaurus shangyuanensis (Lower Cretaceous, Yixian Formation) is presented for the first time and this information is used to reassess its phylogenetic position. Jeholosaurus can be distinguished from all other cerapodans on the basis of one autapomorphy (a row of small foramina on the nasal) and a character combination that is unique among ornithischians. Previously undescribed specimens add considerably to our knowledge of Jeholosaurus, providing new insights into its anatomy and ontogeny. Revised character scores increase the resolution of phylogenetic hypotheses and provide additional support for placement of Jeholosaurus within Ornithopoda.

Venustsalda locella gen. et sp. nov. is described and illustrated from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation at Huang-banjigou Village, Liaoning Province, China. The new genus is established based on its unusual six cells on the membrane, with the second cell smallest.

Rugosuchus nonganensis, a new genus and species of crocodyliform, is erected on the basis of its peculiar cranial features. This late Early Cretaceous species represents the second, and most complete, crocodyliform known from northeastern China. Its discovery is significant for our understanding of both the local vertebrate fauna and its stratigraphical correlations, and the paleobiogeography of the Crocodyliformes. The palatine contribution to the anterior border of the choana excludes the new form from the Eusuchia, and evidence from osteoderms (not detailed in the present paper) suggests that the new form appears to be phylogenetically closer to the Eusuchia than to the Goniopholididae. Therefore, comparisons are made primarily with those taxa which have a closer relationship to the former than the latter. The unsculpted, depressed, and lobe-like posterolateral process of the squamosal is further demonstrated to be ontogenetically variable and thus inappropriate for use as a character in phylogenetic analyses.

Mesocoprophilus clavatus gen. et sp.n., a new rove beetle belonging to the Recent subfamily Oxytelinae, is described and illustrated on the basis of a well-preserved specimen from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation near Huangbanjigou, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, Northeast China. This new genus can be placed in the extant tribe Coprophilini as supported by its general habitus, sub-contiguous mesocoxae, 5-segmented metatarsi, and abdominal segments III–VII each with two pairs of paratergites. In addition, it displays some features resembling the more basal tribe Euphaniini, including clavate antennae and short and poorly-sclerotized abdominal sternite II.

ABSTRACTNon-hadrosaurid iguanodontians were the most diverse and abundant group of large-bodied herbivorous dinosaurs during the Early Cretaceous, and were a particularly important component of Laurasian ecosystems. Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in our knowledge of the diversity of this group, with multiple new taxa being described from northeast China. The most complete of these Chinese non-hadrosaurid iguanodontians is Jinzhousaurus yangi, from the middle part of the Yixian Formation (Lower Cretaceous: lower Aptian) of Liaoning Province. Here, we provide the first description of the relatively complete and partially articulated postcranial skeleton of the holotype of Jinzhousaurus, and provide detailed comparisons to closely related taxa. We document additional autapomorphies of Jinzhousaurus that provide strong support for the validity of this taxon.

Krimi have been considered a major public health problem through out the world (WHO, 1967 Wandan, 1983 McLaren, 1984). In our country this problem is equally significant. It effects the children more frequently than adult (CCRAS 1987). Krimi hamper growth and development of a person, create malnutritional condition and decrease immunity thus the effective solution of this problem is necessary. Of all the herbs used in treating worm infestation, Vidanga is the best. So, Vidanga was selected for the present study. Whole plant of Embelia ribes Linn. were used as materials, as whole plants are used as medicine. Acharya Charaka describe Krimiroga in Vimanasthana. In most of patients, who are suffering from worm infestation have an Vivarnata (discolouration) on the face. “Vivarnata” had been described by Acharya Charaka under the Lakshana of Purishaja Krimi and it has been also described in Rasavaha Srotodusti Lakshana. Krimis robe the digestive nutritive assets through the intestinal wall, which we are making with high effort. So the deficiency of Rasa Dhatu create. According to Dhatu Poshana Nyaya if the Rasa Dhatu is not sufficient then other Dhatu can’t form properly and ultimate weak resistance and poor immunity develops and it is one cause of recurrent nature of disease. Prakriti Vighata and Nidana Parivarjana eradicate Krimiroga from the base.
