AbstractLet $$\mathscr {C}$$ C be a 2-Calabi–Yau triangulated category with two cluster tilting subcategories $$\mathscr {T}$$ T and $$\mathscr {U}$$ U . A result from Jørgensen and Yakimov (Sel Math (NS) 26:71–90, 2020) and Demonet et al. (Int Math Res Not 2019:852–892, 2017) known as tropical duality says that the index with respect to $$\mathscr {T}$$ T provides an isomorphism between the split Grothendieck groups of $$\mathscr {U}$$ U and $$\mathscr {T}$$ T . We also have the notion of c-vectors, which using tropical duality have been proven to have sign coherence, and to be recoverable as dimension vectors of modules in a module category. The notion of triangulated categories extends to the notion of $$(d+2)$$ ( d + 2 ) -angulated categories. Using a higher analogue of cluster tilting objects, this paper generalises tropical duality to higher dimensions. This implies that these basic cluster tilting objects have the same number of indecomposable summands. It also proves that under conditions of mutability, c-vectors in the $$(d+2)$$ ( d + 2 ) -angulated case have sign coherence, and shows formulae for their computation. Finally, it proves that under the condition of mutability, the c-vectors are recoverable as dimension vectors of modules in a module category.

For any positive integer n, we construct an n-repetitive generalized cluster complex (a simplicial complex) associated with a given finite root system by defining a compatibility degree on the n-repetitive set of the colored root system. This simplicial complex includes Fomin-Reading's generalized cluster complex as a special case when n=1. We also introduce the intermediate coverings (called generalized d-cluster categories) of d-cluster categories of hereditary algebras, and study the d-cluster tilting objects and their endomorphism algebras in those categories. In particular, we show that the endomorphism algebras of d-cluster tilting objects in the generalized d-cluster categories provide the (finite) coverings of the corresponding (usual) d-cluster tilted algebras. Moreover, we prove that the generalized d-cluster categories of hereditary algebras of finite representation type provide a category model for the n-repetitive generalized cluster complexes.

Let d > 1 be a positive integer. In this note, we consider the d-cluster-tilted algebras, i.e., algebras which appear as endomorphism rings of d-cluster-tilting objects in higher cluster categories (d-cluster categories). We show that tilting modules over such algebras lift to d-cluster-tilting objects in the corresponding higher cluster category.

AbstractWe investigate cluster-tilting objects (and subcategories) in triangulated 2-Calabi–Yau and related categories. In particular, we construct a new class of such categories related to preprojective algebras of non-Dynkin quivers associated with elements in the Coxeter group. This class of 2-Calabi–Yau categories contains, as special cases, the cluster categories and the stable categories of preprojective algebras of Dynkin graphs. For these 2-Calabi–Yau categories, we construct cluster-tilting objects associated with each reduced expression. The associated quiver is described in terms of the reduced expression. Motivated by the theory of cluster algebras, we formulate the notions of (weak) cluster structure and substructure, and give several illustrations of these concepts. We discuss connections with cluster algebras and subcluster algebras related to unipotent groups, in both the Dynkin and non-Dynkin cases.

If $T$ and $T^{\prime }$ are two cluster-tilting objects of an acyclic cluster category related by a mutation, their endomorphism algebras are nearly Morita equivalent (Buan et al., Cluster-tilted algebras, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 359(1) (2007), 323–332 (electronic)); that is, their module categories are equivalent “up to a simple module”. This result has been generalized by Yang, using a result of Plamondon, to any simple mutation of maximal rigid objects in a 2-Calabi–Yau triangulated category. In this paper, we investigate the more general case of any mutation of a (non-necessarily maximal) rigid object in a triangulated category with a Serre functor. In that setup, the endomorphism algebras might not be nearly Morita equivalent, and we obtain a weaker property that we call pseudo-Morita equivalence. Inspired by Buan and Marsh (From triangulated categories to module categories via localization II: calculus of fractions, J. Lond. Math. Soc. (2) 86(1) (2012), 152–170; From triangulated categories to module categories via localisation, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 365(6) (2013), 2845–2861), we also describe our result in terms of localizations.

Abstract In this paper we define and study triangulated categories in which the Hom-spaces have Krull dimension at most one over some base ring (hence they have a natural 2-step filtration), and each factor of the filtration satisfies some Calabi–Yau type property. If \mathcal{C} is such a category, we say that \mathcal{C} is Calabi–Yau with \dim\mathcal{C}\leq 1 . We extend the notion of Calabi–Yau reduction to this setting, and prove general results which are an analogue of known results in cluster theory. Such categories appear naturally in the setting of Gorenstein singularities in dimension three as the stable categories \mathop{\underline{\textup{CM}}}R of Cohen–Macaulay modules. We explain the connection between Calabi–Yau reduction of \mathop{\underline{\textup{CM}}}R and both partial crepant resolutions and \mathbb{Q} -factorial terminalizations of \operatorname{Spec}R , and we show under quite general assumptions that Calabi–Yau reductions exist. In the remainder of the paper we focus on complete local cA_{n} singularities R. By using a purely algebraic argument based on Calabi–Yau reduction of \mathop{\underline{\textup{CM}}}R , we give a complete classification of maximal modifying modules in terms of the symmetric group, generalizing and strengthening results in [I. Burban, O. Iyama, B. Keller and I. Reiten, Cluster tilting for one-dimensional hypersurface singularities, Adv. Math. 217 2008, 6, 2443–2484], [H. Dao and C. Huneke, Vanishing of Ext, cluster tilting and finite global dimension of endomorphism rings, Amer. J. Math. 135 2013, 2, 561–578], where we do not need any restriction on the ground field. We also describe the mutation of modifying modules at an arbitrary (not necessarily indecomposable) direct summand. As a corollary when k=\mathbb{C} we obtain many autoequivalences of the derived category of the \mathbb{Q} -factorial terminalizations of \operatorname{Spec}R .

Abstract We study $g$-vector cones associated with clusters of cluster algebras defined from a marked surface $(S,M)$ of rank $n$. We determine the closure of the union of $g$-vector cones associated with all clusters. It is equal to $\mathbb{R}^n$ except for a closed surface with exactly one puncture, in which case it is equal to the half space of a certain explicit hyperplane in $\mathbb{R}^n$. Our main ingredients are laminations on $(S,M)$, their shear coordinates, and their asymptotic behavior under Dehn twists. As an application, if $(S,M)$ is not a closed surface with exactly one puncture, the exchange graph of cluster tilting objects in the corresponding cluster category is connected. If $(S,M)$ is a closed surface with exactly one puncture, it has precisely two connected components.
