Stationary retail is increasingly under pressure. Digitization continues to advance rapidly and allows retailers numerous opportunities for innovation. Accordingly, the evaluation and prioritization of digitization projects is a challenge. This paper presents the CIES Model (German original: "KIEN" Model), which was created by Deckert and Wohllebe (2021) for the description of digitization projects. The acronym CIES stands for Customer Benefit, Implementation, Efficiency and Sustainability. According to the inventors of the model, a consideration of these four aspects allows a comprehensive evaluation of digitization projects. The individual aspects are broken down into sub-aspects. Possibilities for practical application are outlined. In addition, there is a call to apply the model in practice-oriented research and to report on the results in research papers.

Under some conditions, an asymptotic solution containing boundary functions was constructed in a paper by Vasil’eva and Butuzov (Differ. Uravn. 1970, 6(4), 650–664 (in Russian); English transl.: Differential Equations 1971, 6, 499–510) for an initial value problem for weakly non-linear differential equations with a small parameter standing before the derivative, in the case of a singular matrix A ( t ) standing in front of the unknown function. In the present paper, the orthogonal projectors onto k e r A ( t ) and k e r A ( t ) ′ (the prime denotes the transposition) are used for asymptotics construction. This approach essentially simplifies understanding of the algorithm of asymptotics construction.

Data on phase relations in the system Na2ZnP2O7-Zn2P2O7 reported in the literature are scarce and contradictory. The system was first studied by Berul and Voskresenskaya [Russ. J. Inorg. Mater. (English transl.) 4 (12), 2129 (1968)], who established the existence of a congruently melting intermediate compound, Na8Zn6(P2O7)5. In the paper by Majling et al. [Chem. Zvesti. 28 (3), 294 (1974)], the system Na2ZnP2O7-Zn2P2O7 is considered to be eutectic. The subsolidus phase relations are represented by a mixture of two phases, terminal members of the system. The existence of the above-mentioned compound was not confirmed for this system. In the present work we studied the phase relations in the system Na2ZnP2O7-Zn2P2O7 on samples obtained by solid-state synthesis and glass crystallization. The sequence of crystallization of phases was investigated, and the equilibrium and metastable phase diagrams were constructed for the system.

This is a list of corrigenda to the English translation of Martin Heidegger’s Being and Time (German original: Sein und Zeit, 1927, 8th edition 1957) by John Macquarrie and Edward Robinson (1962). The list includes 186 entries: most are corrections of outright mistakes in expressing the sense of Heidegger’s text, and twenty-two entries are marked as representing Heidegger’s own revisions to the work as found in the latest German edition (2006). Explanatory comments accompany many of the entries. The corrigenda are offered as a service to scholars of Heidegger’s magnum opus who work within the discipline of philosophy and also to humanistic psychologists who follow the tradition of continental philosophy in their work as practioners and researchers.

This paper examines certain discrepancies between the German originals and the English translations of three Holocaust-related works by W. G. Sebald: The Emigrants, The Rings of Saturn, and Vertigo. The process of Anglicization is shown to involve tonal transformations. Attention is also drawn to variations in the use of the textually embedded illustrations that form such a distinctive feature of Sebald's narrative strategy, for example the omission from The Emigrants of a chalk drawing by the refugee artist Frank Auerbach that was featured in the German original, Die Ausgewanderten. This raises further questions about an aesthetic of hybridity that not only combines words with images, but transforms real-life originals into quasi-fictional characters.
