Using the MILC 2+1 flavor asqtad quark action ensembles, we are calculating the form factors f0 and f+ for the semileptonic Bs → Kℓv decay. A total of six ensembles with lattice spacing from ≈ 0.12 to 0.06 fm are being used. At the coarsest and finest lattice spacings, the light quark mass m’l is one-tenth the strange quark mass m’s. At the intermediate lattice spacing, the ratio m’l/m’s ranges from 0.05 to 0.2. The valence b quark is treated using the Sheikholeslami-Wohlert Wilson-clover action with the Fermilab interpretation. The other valence quarks use the asqtad action. When combined with (future) measurements from the LHCb and Belle II experiments, these calculations will provide an alternate determination of the CKM matrix element |Vub|.

We consider in detail various theoretical uncertainties of the perturbative predictions for the decay width of [Formula: see text] process in the region 60 GeV<MH≤2 MW. We calculate the order [Formula: see text]-contributions to the expression for [Formula: see text] through the pole b-quark mass mb and demonstrate that they are important for the elimination of the numerical difference between the corresponding expression and the renormalization-group (RG) which can be improved by the running b-quark mass. In the case of mb=4.8 GeV and [Formula: see text] we observe the identical cancellation of the next-to-leading order RG-improved corrections to [Formula: see text] at Mch=130 (65) GeV and the indications to the asymptotic explosion of the corresponding next-to-next-to-leading parametrization. The theoretical importance of the order [Formula: see text] massive corrections [Formula: see text] to for modeling the threshold effects is demonstrated.

It is pointed out that the diagonal amplitude of the E1–E1 chromo-electric interaction with soft gluon fields (chromo-polarizability) can be measured directly for the J/ψ and ϒ resonances in the decays J/ψ→ππℓ+ℓ- and ϒ→ππℓ+ℓ- with soft pions. For the J/ψ this amplitude is often discussed in connection with the J/ψ interaction with nuclear matter, while for the ϒ the chromo-polarizability enters the estimates of the nonperturbative mass shift of the resonance relevant to precision determination of the b quark mass from the ϒ mass.
