Abstract: Families represent a priority sector for the Church, one that deserves its best efforts and a thoroughly organized Family Pastoral. Redoubled attention is paid to families in “special situations” in whose benefit the Church is called to devote an even livelier part of its concern. Moral and pastoral care will start by taking into consideration the “real situation” and then will take a progressive path, opening new fronts, indicating possibilities, creating conditions, avoiding degradation, in the Good Shepherd’s type of pastoral effort. In this text, we will examine briefly some of the most common special cases in the family pastoral.

Introduction A disease of a loved one constitutes a serious disturbance in the functioning of many families. Meeting expectations of patients’ families is seen as an element conditioning the level of satisfaction from the care provided in hospital. Aim The aim of this study was to investigate the expectations of families of people hospitalized in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Material and methods The study was carried out in ICUs in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship. The study was performed by diagnostic survey using the questionnaire technique. In total 104 people were surveyed. Results and Discussion The highest ranking expectation of the patient’s loved ones was that of trust towards the staff diagnosing and treating the patient as well as the staff nursing them. Then there came: the feeling of ensuring the best care possible for the patient, obtaining information about the patient’s health, education on the way the unit functions, staying at the patient’s bedisde in the ICU. Lower in the ranking were the importance of having access to the family zone amenities, the opportunity of sharing their problems with others or receiving psychological and pastoral care. Conclusions The most important need of visitors to the ICU is to obtain assurance that the patient is provided the best care possible. As the second most important need, the respondents mentioned the need to be close to the patient and easiness of obtaining information about their health condition provided by the doctor.

The existence of transgender people in the community cannot be denied. Some of them also have achievements both nationally and internationally. Some transgender individuals have strong self-esteem that persist in the midst of a society where the majority ignore and even reject them. Others experience feelings of grief and even despair until suicide due to severe rejection especially from the family. The church as a family home that must love and protect each member of the congregation must not be favoritism. The church needs to reach out to transgender people through pastoral care. Counseling services also need to be opened for them so that mental recovery can occur.

Abstract: Death is certainty for all living things. Even though the death sentence, but humans are very afraid of death and always try to avoid death. Even if the emergency condition of the congregation is critical, it is still not ready to face death, so it only needs to be healed physically. As an addition the makes the writer interested in doing pastoral care for canggregations who are not ready to death. Pastoral care uses interviews with five family members who are in critical condition and their family. This pastoral assintance uses the functions of sustaining and reconciling. This pastoral care can help fighy the pain. Then they will be reconciled by being able to help him. They can receive treatment for physicaly healing and also spiritual healing. Pastoral care is given to sick family members, families and also the medical team. How can the family enjoy a eternal life.

Claims that the contemporary emphasis on the family—often heralded as an exclusive concern of the political and religious right—must not be allowed ownership by any one actor or segment involved in the current culture war dealing with family values. Proposes that at the heart of the family values project is not, as it is often framed, the issues of individualism, divorce, single-mothers, pregnant teens, neglected or problem children, but rather the truly difficult problem of establishing and maintaining genuinely democratic family forms and dynamics. Argues that pastoral caregivers need to reclaim an appropriate space in this contested terrain of THE FAMILY with the pastoral care, counseling, and education's usual commitment to a systemic and compassionate understanding of such complex issues.
