Recently many violent and moral degradations occurred in Indonesia have affected most of the youth. The moral degradation symptoms are indicated by the increase of drug abuse, free sex, crime, violent act, and many other disrespectful behaviors. The source of this multidimensional crisis and the nation’s downturn is the identity crisis and the failure in developing the nation’s character education. The IPS (the social studies) lesson is, in fact, aimed at improving the personal, social, and intellectual competences. Therefore, it is the time to integrate the character education with the school’s lessons, particularly in the social studies or IPS in the level of junior high school. In this case, the lesson is expected to be a tool and opportunity for students to develop various good characteristics such as religious, honest, integrited, tolerant, discipline, independent, hard worker, creative, patriotic, and friendly qualities.

Adanya pandemi Covid-19 membawa dampak yang besar di semua bidang dalam kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia dan dunia, termasuk bidang pendidikan. Untuk memutus penyebaran Covid-19, maka kebijakan Belajar dari Rumah (BDR) harus diberlakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) pengaruh BDR dan Peran Orang Tua   terhadap Motivasi Belajar. 2) pengaruh BDR terhadap Motivasi Belajar. 3). Pengaruh Peran Orang Tua terhadap Moditvasi Belajar. 4) pengaruh BDR dan Peran Orang Tua secara  terhadap Prestasi Belajar IPS. 5) pengaruh BDR terhadap Prestasi Beljar IPS. 6) pengaruh Peran Orang Tua terhadap Prestasi Belajar IPS. Penelitian mengambil lokasi di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 281 Jakarta. Oleh karena itu hasil penelitian ini mewakili populasi di Sekolah Menengah Pertama  Negeri 281 Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda. Populasi penelitian 358 dan sampel yang diambil 75 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik kuessioner secara daring untuk variabel BDR, Peran Orang Tua, dan Motivasi belajar. Untuk variabel Prestasi Belajar IPS diadakan tes secara daring. Dengan angka sig = 0,004 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi BDR dan Peran Orang Tua terhadap Motivasi Belajar. Dengan angka sig = 0,004 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi BDR terhadap Motivasi Belajar. Dengan angka sig = 0,015 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi peran orang tua terhadap Motivasi Belajar. Dengan angka sig = 0,000 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi BDR dan Peran Orang Tua terhadap Prestasi Belajar IPS. Dengan angka Sig = 0,006 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi BDR terhadap Prestasi Belajar IPS. Dengan angka Sig = 0.000 < 0, 05 membuktikan bahwa terdapat signifikansi Peran Orang Tua terhadap Prestasi Belajar IPS.   The covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact in all areas on leaves of Indonesians and world, including education. To break the spreading of Covid-19, the learning from home policy must be enforced. The  study aims to determine: 1) The influence of learning from home and the parental participation together on learning motivation. 2) The influence  of learning from home on learning motivation. 3). The influence of the parental participation on learning motivation. 4) The influence of learning from home and the parental participation togrther on Social Studies learning achievement. 5) The influence of learning from home on Social Studies learning ahievemnet. 6) The influence of the role of parents on Social studies learning achievment. The research took place at 281 Public Junior High school Jakarta, therefore this research represents the population at public junior high school Jakarta. The study using a quantitative research method and using multiple linier regression analysis technique. The research population was 358 and the sample was 75 respondents taken. Data collection was carried out using online questionnaire technique for variables of learning from home, the role of parents, and learning motivation. For the Social Studies Learning Achievement variabel, an online test was held. With the number sig = 0,004 < 0, 05, it proves that there is a significance of learning from home and parental participation on learning motivating. With the sig = 0,004 < 0, 05, it prove s that there is a significance of learning from home on learning motivation. With the sig = 0,015 < 0, 05, it proves that there is a significance of parental participation on learning motivation. With the sig = 0,000 < 0, 05, it proves that there is a significance of learning from home ang parental participation on the social studies learning achievement. With the sig = 0,006 < 0, 05 it proves that there is a significance of learning from home on the social studies learning achievement. With the Sig = 0,000 < 0, 05 it proves that there is a significance of parental participation on the social studies learning achievement.

This articel aims to obtain data on non-cognitive assessment, the ability of teachers to make the rubric of non-cognitive assessment, constraints - any constraints faced by teachers in developing noncognitive instruments as well as any policy that will be done in overcoming the obstacles faced by social studies teacher in junior RSBI Padang Class VII Semester II.This type of research is descriptive research. Data obtained from document analysis, interviews and observation. Techniques of data analysis by using percentages. Data obtained from interviews with informants, the junior high school teachers who teach social studies classes RSBI VII, Chairman of the IPS MGMP Padang, three expert specialist and deputy head of the school curriculum areas.After data analysis performed, the results obtained that the number of teachers who have not done in developing and assessing the activities within the rubric of attitude assessment, student performance and products. Once analyzed by the expert assessment rubric attitude, and product performance in terms of science and the content is quite good and better in terms of the language section. Perceived obstacles to overcome problems that arise in the application of attitude assessment, and performance of the products most social studies teachers have tried various things such as: reading books / other resources relevant to teaching materials, training, seminars and follow MGMP forum, discuss in advance with Head of School before attending the training and talked about making attitude assessment rubrics, and product performance with peers.

The purpose of this research is to determine the role of self regulation in enhancing the ability of creative thinking in social studies teaching and learning. Therefore, the author conducted a survey on junior high school in South Tangerang, Banten. Students ability to organize themselves into an important key in developing the ability to think creatively. Students will know what you want to achieve so that he has a conscious effort to focus the attention and the ability to complete the task. Ability is what is required by Indonesian golden generation because they will be dealing with a very complex challenge. The golden generation should be given so that the provision could be responsible for the lives of himself and his people.

<p><em>This research is a qualitative descriptive research aims to (1) describe and explain the structure of folklore of Purbalingga District, (2) to describe and explain the social care values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) describe and explain the relevance of folklore as the character buildingand teaching material in Junior High School. Data and information are collected through informants and documents. Data collection is done through observation, recording, interview, and document analysis. Research sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. Validation of data is done by triangulation. The results of this research are:</em></p><em>(1) the structure of folklore Purbalingga District, (2) social caring values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) relevance of folklore as the character building and teaching material in Junior High School.</em>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja guru IPS SMP pascasertifikasi Kota Makassar dilihat dari aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran, serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan kinerja guru pascasertifikasi di Kota Makasar dilihat dari lama waktu setelah sertifikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian 6 kepala sekolah, 27 guru, dan 130 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkann bahwa Guru IPS tingkat SMP pascasertifikasi di Kota Makassar memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 4,04. Guru IPS pascasertifikasi memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek pelaksanaan pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,77. Guru IPS pascasertifikasi memiliki kinerja yang baik dilihat dari aspek penilaian pembelajaran, yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rerata sebesar 3,96. Kinerja guru pascasertifikasi lebih dari lima tahun dengan guru pascasertifikasi lima tahun kurang secara signifikan tidak memiliki perbedaan.Kata kunci: kinerja guru, sertifikasi, pelaksanaan pembelajaran PERFORMANCE OF SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER AFTER CERTIFICATION TO IMPLEMENTATION LEARNING LEVEL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN MAKASSAR CITYAbstractThis study aims to determine the performance of junior high school social studies teacher post-certification Makassar City viewed from the aspect of planning, implementation and assessment of learning, and to investigate differences in teacher performance post-certification in Makasar seen from a long time after certification. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research sample 6 principals, 27 teachers and 130 students. Collecting data using questionnaires. Mechanical analysis using descriptive analysis. The results of this study has pointed out that the Master IPS junior level after certification in Makassar has a good performance from the aspects of the learning plan, which indicated an average value of 4.04. After certification social studies teacher has a good performance from the aspects of the implementation of learning, which is shown to an average value of 3.77. After certification social studies teacher has a good performance from the aspects of learning assessment, which indicated an average value of 3.96. Post-certification of teachers' performance over five years with teacher certification after five years was significantly less no difference.Keywords: teahcer performance, certification, implementation learning
