Stress protectors (adaptogens) are among the most important factors that regulate growth processes at all stages of plant development. This article presents results of field studies of the effect of new synthetic plant growth regulators of stress protectors (adaptogens) on the elements of productivity and yield of spring oats of the Skakun variety. The obtained results during the research showed that all the studied derivatives of peredazinones are adaptogens and they contribute to an increased productivity and increased yield of spring oats. We studied the effect of pre-sowing treatment of seeds with new synthetic plant growth regulators of stress protectors on the quality indicators of cereal production of Skakun oats (protein, starch and amylolytic enzymes content in the cereal). Pre-sowing treatment of oat seeds increases the amount of protein in the cereal up to 15%, starch – up to 25%, amylase – up to 20%. We proved the ability of stress protectors to minimize the negative impact of heavy metals (lead, zinc) on agrophytocenoses, which will make it possible to obtain environmentally friendly cereal products when cultivating oats in anthropogenically polluted areas of the Saratov Oblast.

Khim. Khim. Tekhnol. 2017. V. 60. N 1. P. 95-101.Low toxicity of polyfunctional 1,3-dioxocyclicalkanes to soil bacteria allows to consider the compounds of this class as perspective herbicides. In this regard, we studied the herbicidal activity of a series of substituted cyclic ketals, their derivatives and alkenylmalonates. On the basis of commercially available triols the corresponding cyclic ketals were obtained with a yield more than 90%. O-alkylation of alcohol according to the methods led to the corresponding ethers and esters. The glycerol monoethers were obtained quantitatively by acid hydrolysis of ketals. Growth-regulatory activity of the synthesized compounds was determined in vitro on wheat and pea seedlings according to a known procedure (aromatic solvent - nefras A 150/330, surfactant - oxyethylated izononilfenol neonol AF-9-12). Evaluation of herbicidal activity of preparations was carried out in the laboratory. During 3 days length (L, mm) and weight (m, g) seedlings in comparison with the control option was measured. Without herbicide on seedlings the monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants are placed in Petri dishes containing water emulsion of active substances with a concentration of 5 mg / l and 10 mg / l for peas and 50 mg / l and 100 mg / l for wheat.  As a reference well-known herbicide, Oktapon Extra, was used. The diol with allyloxy-diol group showed the best results towards wheat. This compound successfully inhibits the increase in the length and weight of escape and gives close results to the standard. For peas, ketals and derivatives thereof are effective only in terms of inhibition of the shoot masses. Heterocyclic alcohol and glycols are superior to the standard, and a ketal at a concentration of 10 mg / l practically corresponds to it. Alkenylmalonates were more effective in inhibiting the escape weight wheat than peas. In particular, at a concentration of 100mg / l effectiveness of methallyl derivatives of trans-1,3-dichloropropene coincides to the standard. Physical and chemical characteristics of the compounds were proved by NMR and mass spectra. Screening results showed that activity of diol with allyloxy group is close to the ideal attitude to wheat. Ketals and their derivatives show the herbicidal activity only at inhibition of the mass escape of peas. Results of alkenylmalonates were better at inhibition of the mass escape of wheat than peas. The obtained results prove prospectivity of producing of herbicidal drugs based on the alkenylmalonates substituted diols and acetals, as a new generation of herbicides.

AbstractFull-size members of the ABCG (ATP-binding cassette, subfamily G) subfamily of ABC transporters have been found only in plants and fungi. The plant genes encoding full-size ABCGs identified so far appeared to be differentially regulated under various environmental constraints, plant growth regulators, and microbial elicitors, indicating a broad functional role of these proteins in plant responses to abiotic and biotic stress. Nevertheless, the structure and physiological function of full-size ABCGs in many plant species are still unknown. We have recently identified 16 genes encoding full-size ABCG proteins in cucumber and found that the transcripts of two of them, CsABCG36 (CsPDR8) and CsABCG40 (CsPDR12), are most abundant in roots and are significantly affected by phytohormones and auxin herbicide. In this study, we analyzed the structure and phylogeny of all the full-size cucumber ABCG transporters and studied the organ expression profiles of the remaining 14 CsABCG genes. In addition, we investigated the effect of different plant growth regulators and the diterpene sclareolide on CsABCG expression in cucumber roots. Until now, the full-size plant ABCG transporters have been grouped into five different clusters. The new phylogenetic analysis of full-size ABCGs from model plants and cucumber clustered these proteins into six different subgroups. Interestingly, the expression profiles of cucumber ABCG genes assigned to the same clusters were not correlated, suggesting functional diversification or different regulatory mechanisms of the full-size cucumber ABCG proteins.

The use of plant growth regulators is one effective solution to improve sugarcane yields and sugar content in several countries. In this study, we examined the role of gibberellin acid (GA3) and glyphosate (Gly) plant growth regulators to determine the appropriate concentration of GA3 and Gly to increase the yield of sugarcane and sugar accumulation, respectively. The statistical results showed that GA3 was sprayed at 150 ppm to increment the actual yield by 19.94%; sucrose accumulation increased by 2.21%. With Gly treatment, although the yield decreased by 3.17%, sucrose accumulation increased by 11.27% compared to control trials. In this study, the combined concentration of 150 ppm of both GA3 and Gly gave the best results, for which sucrose accumulation increased from 2.21% to 10.74% and from 19.94% to 20.97% for actual yield. The results led to increased net income compared to the control. To address concerns about residues of plant growth regulators, residues of GA3 and Gly were evaluated after the sugarcane harvest using the HPLC and UV-vis methods, respectively. The analyzed results showed that their residues were lower than what is permitted in several countries. This showed the applicability of the study, on a large scale, to increase sucrose accumulation, productivity of sugarcane, and profit for farmers.
