To support the vision of UIN Suska Riau, so established the Technical Implementation Unit field of computer and information systems UIN Suska Riau called Computer Center (PUSKOM). However, in 2013, Computer Center (PUSKOM) UIN Suska Riau renamed the Center of Information Technology and Database (PTIPD). Center for Information Technology and Data Base (PTIPD) UIN Suska Riau is a part that manages the use of information technology in environment UIN Suska Riau. PTIPD provide internet network with current bandwidth capacity of 200 Mbps. PTIPD also conduct training in information technology for students and faculty and to develop information systems and applications as needed academic community UIN Suska Riau. Development of information systems that are not systematically planned will lead the organization does not have the priority scale development projects / IT and impressed patchy. This way will impact on the productivity of the organization. Center for Information Technology and Database (PTIPD) requires strategic planning of IS / IT should be appropriate, because if the IS / IT is not appropriate either target or goal, then the IS / IT will not be a competitive advantage for the Center for Information Technology and Database (PTIPD ) UIN Suska Riau. Form of Strategic Planning Information System that discussed in this study is to use a methodology Ward and Peppard, with the input of the internal business environment analysis and environmental analysis of the internal IS / IT. In the last two decades a large amount of companies decided to establish productions sites all over the world in order to profit from cost benefits and to gain access to new markets and know-how. This internationalisation trend leads to more and more complex production networks. According to this development managers are confronted with growing intransparencies within their companies due to increasing information asymmetries, growing amount of interfaces and a growing effort for coordination. Nowadays a lot of strategic decisions, e.g. location decisions are made according to someone’s instinct. The usage of a valid data base within decision making processes can improve the quality of taken decisions. There are two ways to establish a sound data base: Manual data gathering, which is always associated with great effort or the usage of “big data”. Technologies from the era “Industrie 4.0” enable companies to gather and store a large amount of data. This data amount can establish transparency to support an objective assessment. Therefore the aim of this paper is the development of a method to aggregate production data systematically to support the strategic planning of global production networks.

Organisations are becoming increasingly information driven and are rapidly shifting focus to requiring better information for long-term strategic planning. There is a lot of data required to provide this information and a lot of critical thought needed to change the data into useful information. Organisations need to improve the search for the right information that can be used immediately—to take action or make a decision—and this chapter examines the reality of this definition. The availability of effective management information is essential when coping with today's increasing organisation complexity. For the information system to be designed correctly in order to collect the requisite data and to be able to provide the necessary information, it is essential for the information system developers to know what information is required for managers and staff to run the organisation at all three levels of management: operational, tactical, and strategic. The information of course is not useful unless it is being communicated and it particularly needs to be communicated to the person that needs it. The information requirements for management planning should form part of the essential strategic plan documentation.
