Some information is given on its transmission, geographical distribution (Africa (Ghana, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Togo), Asia (Bangladesh, China (Hainan), India (Uttar Pradesh), Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka) and Caribbean (Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica)) and hosts (Echites brownei, Echites sp., Hemidesmus indicus, Holarrhena africana [Holarrhena floribunda], Holarrhena antidysenterica [Holarrhena pubescens], Holarrhena wulfsbergii, Holarrhena sp., Rauwolfia [Rauvolfia] nitida, R. vomitoria, Wrightia javanica [W. pubescens], W. lanitii [W. pubescens], W. pubescens and W. tomentosa [W. arborea]).
