The crystal structure of the title compound [EuCl2(OH2)2]Cl ('europium trichloride hexahydrate') has been redetermined from single-crystal diffractometer data at 295 K and refined to a residual of 0.040 for 1094 independent 'observed' reflections. Crystals are monoclinic, P2/n, a 9.659(3), b 6.529(2), c 7.936(4) �, β 93.67(4)�, Z 2. The europium atom lies on a crystallographic twofold axis, which passes between the two planes of a square-antiprismatic coordination environment in which the two chlorine atoms, on opposite faces, lie cis to each other. Eu-O distances range from 2.401(6) to 2.431(5) �; Eu-Cl is 2.774(2) �.

The crystal structure of the title compound, C20H4Cl6O5,C6H6, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 298 K. Crystals are monoclinic, C2/c, a 7.258(4), b 19.530(7), c 17.027(11) Ǻ, β 93.59(3)°, Z 4. Both pigment and solvent molecules are located about crystallographic 2 axes; the pigment molecule is considerably distorted as a result of interaction between substituent chlorine atoms on adjacent rings.

Complexes obtained by the reaction of uranium pentabromide with triphenylphosphine and with ethane-1,2-diylbis(diphenylarsine) (Ph2AsCH2CH2AsPh2) have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction structure determination at 295 K and shown to be [Ph3PCMe2CH2C(O)Me]2- [Ubr6](1) and [Ubr4(Ph2As(O)CH2CH2AsPh2)2] (2). Crystals of (1) are orthorhombic, Pbca, a 20.46(1), b 16.033(8), c 15.663(10) �, Z 4, the structure being refined to a residual of 0.07 for 990 independent reflections; in the centrosymmetric anion, U-Br distances range from 2.750(5) to 2.803(5) �. Crystals of (2) are monoclinic, P21/c, a 12.64(1), b 10.870(6), c 20.81(2) �, 110.88(2)�, Z 2, the structure being refined to a residual of 0.05 for 1531 independent reflections. In the centrosymmetric molecule, U-Br distances are 2.806(4) and 2.811(4) �; the diarsine oxide ligand is unidentate, coordinated through the oxygen rather than the arsenic with U-O 2.19(1) �.

Abstract The structure of the title compound has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The title compound is synthesized from the elements at 600 °C. Its crystal structure, derived from powder data [3] is refined by single crystal diffractometer data. The structure is trigonal (P3̅ml, α = 684.1(1), c = 724.4(1) pm); Pd2+ cations and PS43- anions form a network with an anti-Claudetite (AS2O3) type structure. The PS4 units are distinctly distorted from ideal tetrahedral symmetry. The Pd atoms have a planar environment of 4 S atoms.

AbstractHydrothermal synthesis produced the new compound SrCo2(AsO4)(AsO3OH)(OH)(H2O). The compound belongs to the tsumcorite group (natural and synthetic compounds with the general formula M(1)M(2)2(XO4)2(H2O,OH)2; M(1)1+,2+,3+ = Na, K, Rb, Ag, NH4, Ca, Pb, Bi, Tl; M(2)2+,3+ = Al, Mn3+, Fe3+, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; and X5+,6+ = P, As, V, S, Se, Mo). It represents (1) the first Sr member, (2) the until now unknown [7]-coordination for the M(1) position, (3) the first proof of (partially) protonated arsenate groups in this group of compounds, and (4) a new structure variant.The crystal structure of the title compound was determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. The compound is monoclinic, space group P21/a, with a = 9.139(2), b = 12.829(3), c = 7.522(2) Å, β = 114.33(3)°, V = 803.6(3) Å3, Z = 4 [wR2 = 0.065 for 3530 unique reflections]. The hydrogen atoms were located experimentally.

The room-temperature single-crystal X-ray structural characterization of the title compound (tpyH2)2[Tb(OH2)8]Cl7.~2⅓H2O is recorded. Crystals are triclinic, Pī , a 17.063(5), b 16.243(3), c 7.878(3) Ǻ, α 84.78(2), β 84.39(3), γ 87.81(2)°, Z = 2 formula units; 3167 'observed' diffractometer reflections were refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures to a residual of 0.057. Notable features of interest of the compound are the 'chelation' of chloride ions by the terpyridinium cations , and the existence of a free [Tb(OH2)8]2+ cation in the presence of an abundance of chloride ions.

In the title compound, [PdCl2(C7H9NO)2], the Pd atom is situated on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The coordination environment of the Pd atom shows a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. The crystal structure exhibits weak intermolecular Pd...Cl interactions, with Pd...Cl distances of 3.6912 (6) Å. A chain-like arrangement of molecules realized by intermolecular N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds is observed along [010].

The crystal structure of the title compound has been determined at 295 K by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and refined by least squares to a residual of 0.062. Crystals are monoclinic, P2/c, a 19.102(8), b 8.117(4), c 16.610(8) Ǻ, β 111.90(3)°, Z. Unlike the tris(α-oxyimino ketonato)iron(II) complexes which are fac, the present derivative is based upon substitution of the two picoline moieties into a mer derivative, trans to the nitrogen atoms of the chelate ligands. <Fe- N(picoline)> is 2.020; <Fe-N, O(chelate)> 1.880, 1.952 Ǻ.

In the tetraborate anion of the title compound, K2[B4O5(OH)4]·H2O, the bridging B—O bond lengths of the tetrahedral BO4 and the trigonal-planar BO3 units are slightly longer than the corresponding terminal B—OH bond lengths. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O—H...O, O—H...Owater and Owater—H...O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network. The two potassium cations both show a coordination number of 9.

This article provides the first single-crystal XRD-based structure of enantiopure (R)-baclofen (form C), C10H12ClNO2, without any co-crystallized substances. In the enantiopure title compound, the molecules arrange themselves in an orthorhombic crystal structure (space group P212121). In the crystal, strong hydrogen bonds and C—H ... Cl bonds interconnect the zwitterionic molecules.
