The relationship between flowering time and daylength and temperature is described for L. angustifolius using multiple linear regression. The main cultivar was Gungurru but cvv. Danja, Yorrel and the L. albus cv. Kiev Mutant were also studied. Regression analyses were performed on time to flowering observations for lupins grown with serial sowings at up to 12 sites over up to 5 years in Western Australia (there were 102 separate observations of time to flowering for Gungurru). Time to flowering in the L. angustifolius cultivars was best explained by a model incorporating terms for average temperature and daylength between sowing and flowering. Models of this form were not satisfactory for L. albus, probably because of vernalization requirements which the L. angustifolius cultivars do not have. Using data from the experiment with the widest range of sowings, 94.6% of the variation in time to flowering was explained by the above model and an additional 3.5% was explained by including an interaction term. The rate of progress through all stages of development to flowering, except for the period between appearance of the last leaf and flowering, was sensitive to temperature. The rate of leaf appearance responded to both temperature and daylength and the rate of progress through the period between appearance of the last leaf and flowering was sensitive only to daylength.

Using data for 341 enterprises listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and taking R&D expenditure as an indicator of innovation investment, this paper implements multiple linear regression to test whether venture capital promotes corporate innovation input. It also considers the relationship between the syndicated investment of venture capital and innovation input. The results showthat venture capital indeed promotes R&D in the invested enterprises. The innovation input of syndicated investment enterprises is significantly higher than that of sole investment enterprises. Under syndicated investment, the higher the number of syndicated investment members and the greater the heterogeneity of the shareholding ratio among the members, the higher is the innovation input. The reputation of the syndicated investment team, however, has no significant impact on innovation input.

Knowledge sharing is deemed to be important for organisation as it helps to bring much benefits to the organisation, such as enhancing one's creativity. Knowledge sharing behaviour (KSB) is highly subjective and it depends on one's willingness to participate in such behaviour. Prior research has indicated that a person's emotional intelligence (EI) affects one's ability to share their knowledge and through knowledge sharing it helps to increase creativity in workplace. Despite such claims had been made by researchers, yet there is very little empirical examination has been conducted to examine the link between EI and perceived creativity through KSB. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of KSB as a mediator between EI and creativity. A survey was conducted and obtained a total of 176 valid respondents from 20 MNCs in Klang Valley. Multiple linear regression analyses were used to analyse the hypotheses. The results indicate that KSB mediates the relationship between EI and creativity. The results also indicate that EI plays an important role in influencing one's willingness to share his or her knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships amongst aggression, self-theory, loneliness, and depression. The study group consisted of 904 student volunteers from various undergraduate programs of a university in Central Anatolia. Simple and hierarchical multiple linear regression analyses, as well as t-tests, were used to analyze the data. In the preliminary analysis performed, females’ depression levels and males’ aggression levels are higher. The study findings revealed that self-theory negatively and significantly predicted aggression, whereas loneliness and depression positively and significantly predicted aggression in emerging adulthood. Another important finding showed that both direct and indirect relationships exist between self-theory and aggression. According to these findings, loneliness and depression play partially mediating roles individually, and fully mediating roles together, with regard to the relationship between self-theory and aggression.

In recent years, a large number of automatic equipment has been introduced into the chemical fiber filament doffing production line, but the related research on the fully automatic production line technology is not yet mature. At present, it is difficult to collect data due to test costs and confidentiality. This paper proposes to develop a simulation platform for a chemical fiber filament doffing production line, which enables us to effectively obtain data and quantitatively study the relationship between the number of manual interventions and other process parameters of the production line. Considering that the parameter research is a multi-factor problem, an orthogonal test was designed by using SPSS software and was carried out by using a simulation platform. The multiple linear regression (MLR) and the neural network optimized by genetic algorithm were adopted to fit the relationship between the number of manual interventions and other parameters of the production line. The SPSS software was applied to obtain the standardized coefficients of the multiple linear regression fitting and the neural network mean impact value (MIV) algorithm was applied to obtain the magnitude and direction of the impact of different parameters on the number of manual interventions. The above results provide important reference for the design of similar new production lines and for the improvement of old production lines.

BackgroundThe onset of puberty is influenced by thyroid function, and thyroid hormones (THs) fluctuate substantially during the period of pubertal development. However, it needs to be further clarified how THs change at specific puberty stages and how it influences pubertal development in girls. So far, longitudinal data from China are scarce.MethodsA cohort study was conducted among girls during puberty in iodine-sufficient regions of East China between 2017 to 2019. Serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free triiodothyronine (FT3), and free thyroxine (FT4) were determined for each participant. Thyroid homeostasis structure parameters (THSPs), including the ratio of FT4 to FT3 (FT4/FT3), Jostel’s TSH index (TSHI), and thyroid feedback quantile-based index (TFQI), were calculated. Puberty category scores (PCS), calculated based on the Puberty Development Scale (PDS), was used to assess the stage of puberty. Girls were grouped into three categories according to PCS changes (△PCS) and six categories according puberty stage (BPFP: pre-pubertal at both baseline and follow-up; BPFL: pre-pubertal at baseline and late-pubertal at follow-up, respectively; BPFT: pre-pubertal at baseline and post-pubertal at follow-up, respectively; BLFL: late-pubertal at both baseline and follow-up; BLFT: late-pubertal at baseline and post-pubertal at follow-up, respectively; BTFT: post-pubertal at both baseline and follow-up). Multiple linear regression analyses were used to evaluate the associations of THs changes with pubertal progress.ResultsThe levels of serum TSH and FT3 decreased while serum FT4 increased during the study period (P<0.001). In multiple linear regression analyses, after adjustment for covariables, FT3 decreased by an additional 0.24 pmol/L (95% CI: -0.47 to -0.01) in the higher △PCS group than the lower △PCS group. Compared with the BLFL group, the BPFT group showed an additional decline in FT3 (β= -0.39 pmol/L, 95%CI: -0.73 to -0.04), the BTFT group showed a lower decline in TSH (β=0.50 mU/L, 95% CI: 0.21 to 0.80) and a lower decline in TSHI (β=0.24, 95%CI: 0.06 to 0.41), respectively. There was no association of △FT4 or △TFQI with △PCS or the puberty pattern.ConclusionsSerum TSH and FT3 decreased while serum FT4 increased among girls during puberty. Both the initial stage and the velocity of pubertal development were related to thyroid hormone fluctuations.

The development of Islamic economics in banking practices in society develops innovatively. Various sharia banking products have become the people's choice in supporting their daily economic activities. The same thing also happened to students. The purpose of study is to analyze the religiosity effect of students' interest in saving for Islamic banking with knowledge as intervening variable. Multiple linear regression is an analytical technique used here, with hypothesis testing and path analysis to support its conclusions. The result of this study is that the level of religiosity significantly effects on students' interest in saving for Islamic banking with positive relationship. Likewise, knowledge is able mediate the relationship between the religiosity variable and students' interest in saving.

We examined whether the extent of perceived variability (i.e., consensus) among group members’ shared leadership ratings polarize group performances. Through using data from 39 classes in school settings, we explored the relationship between students’ shared leadership behavior and group performance as moderated by the extent of variability among group members’ shared leadership ratings. Study results, based on hierarchical multiple regression analyses, were consistent with the hypothesized conceptual scheme of moderation in that the slope of the relationship between shared leadership and group performance was stronger (and positive) for classes with high consensus than ones with low consensus. This indicates consensus among group members’ shared leadership ratings polarizing group performance.
