IN THIS ISSUE of the Journal, several reviewers have done an excellent job in providing you with an assessment on a number of ?technical? books that would be useful to health policy makers, researchers and managers. At the moment there appears to be a wealth of excellent texts to assist health managers and researchers and we offer here three reviews on the issues and concepts of measuring health and health operations research. However, colleagues wishing to review a book are invited to make their wishes known to the appropriate Book Review Editor. We also welcome retrospective reviews of older books.
