The results of studying the temperature dependences of electrical conductivity, thermoelectric coefficient, Hall mobility of charge carriers, total and electronic thermal conductivity, as well as phonon thermal resistance of alloys of (CuInSe2)1-x(In2Te3)x solid solutions at x=0.005 and 0.0075 are presented. The values of these parameters for certain temperatures were used to calculate the values of the thermoelectric figure of merit of the indicated compositions. It turned out that as the temperature rises, the thermoelectric figure of merit tends to grow strongly, from which it can be concluded that these materials can be used in the manufacture of thermoelements.

Solid solutions Bi2Te3-Sb2Te3 continue to be the subject of numerous and versatile experimental studies due to their practical importance for thermoelectric materials science. In this regard, the problem of studying the regularities of changes in the state of the electronic system of these semiconductors from composition and temperature remains urgent. This paper presents the results of studying the temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility of Bi2Te3-Sb2Te3 crystals containing 10, 25, 40, 50, 60 mol. % Sb2Te3. The correlation of the behavior of the temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity is analyzed.

AbstractThe complex methods of the physicochemical analysis are used to study TlGaTe_2–Te and TlInTe_2–Te alloys in which the tellurium solubility region up to 5.0 at % is observed. The temperature dependences of the lattice parameters and the electrical conductivity of TlGaTe_2 + x and TlInTe_2 + x have been studied in different crystallographic directions. The TlGaTe_2 + x and TlInTe_2 + x solid solutions undergo a phase transition at a temperature of 498 K. The transition nature is interpreted.

The results of studying frequency and temperature dependences of AC electrical conductivity in FeGaInSe4 crystals are presented. It was found in the frequency interval f = 5 • 104−106 Hz, the regularity σ ∝ fS (0.1 ≤ s ≤ 1.0) holds for electrical conductivity. From the temperuture dependences the activation energies were determined. It is shown that in the FeGaInSe4 crystal, the frequency dependence of electrical conductivity can be explained using the multiplet model, which means that the conductivity in these crystals is characterized by a band-hop mechanism.

The results of studying the frequency and temperature dependences of the electrical conductivity of MnGaInSe4 single crystals on alternating electric current are presented. It was found that in the temperature range of 295.5–360 K at frequencies of 2•104–106 Hz, the regularity σ ∼ fS (0.1≤ s≤1.0) holds for electrical conductivity. It is shown that in the MnGaInSe4 single crystal the frequency dependence of electrical conductivity can be explained using the multiplet model, and the conductivity in these single crystals is characterized by a band-hop mechanism. Based on the dependences log σ ∼ 103/T, the activation energies are determined.

(Cu0.25Ag0.75)7SiS5I-based superionic ceramics were fabricated by using the micro- and nanopowders. The XRD technique and microstructural analysis are applied for the structural studies of powders and ceramic samples. The impedance measurements of ceramic samples are carried out in the frequency range from 10Hz to 2 × 106 Hz and temperature interval from 292 K to 383 K. The contributions of ionic and electronic conductivities into the total electrical conductivity are determined, and their temperature dependences are investigated. The influence of the size effect on ionic and electronic conductivities and their activation energies in (Cu0.25Ag0.75)7SiS5I-based ceramics is studied.

The concentration and temperature dependences of the specific electric conductivity (EC) of aqueous solutions of HCl, HBr, HNO3, HClO4, H2SO4 and HBF4, H2SiF6, and H2TiF6 were analyzed. It was shown that at a temperature of 298 K maximum specific EC of solutions of acids does not exceed the value of the limit high-frequency EC of water. The analytical equation allowing on the basis of maximum EC and corresponding to it concentration to calculate the EC of acid solutions in a wide range of concentrations and temperatures was obtained.
