With the development of electronics, mechanical automation, computer and other related disciplines, and the improvement of product efficiency and quality in modern industry, welding robots are born and play an increasingly important role in industrial production lines. 6R welding robot is most commonly used in industrial production lines, so the research on 6R welding robot has practical application values. In this paper, MS165 Yaskawa robot is selected as the target robot. SolidWorks software is used to establish the three-dimensional model of Yaskawa robot, which is imported into Adams. Dynamics analyses of the rigid–flexible coupling system of 6R spot welding robot are studied by powerful dynamic simulation functions of Adams. The maximum stress position of the spot-welding robot working under load is also studied, and the maximum stress curve is obtained.

In this paper one proposed to exemplify a modern solution of an automatic control of industrial production lines. The necessity to align at the requirements of industrial competition has led to a degree of automation of increasingly advanced that the human intervention into the processes is minimal. A high productivity means lower flow interruptions as manufacturing, so the systems which control these lines must operate without errors. This can be done only by testing control programs and monitoring automation systems and, also, through simulate the manufacturing process.

Abstract Simulation and optimization techniques are the pillars of for the Virtual Commissioning of modern digital factories. In particular, industrial production lines are complex systems formed by a set of machines that have several cross-dependencies (i. e., the production efficiency of a machine impact deeply performance figures of the others and affects the whole line productivity). The simulation and optimization of production lines is an integrated approach that allows finding efficiently optimized production parameters. This paper presents an example of application of the simulation to the virtual design and optimization of an industrial production line.

This chapter covers different methods of semiconductor device modeling for electronic circuit simulation. It presents a discussion on physics-based analytical modeling approach to predict device operation at specific conditions such as applied bias (e.g., voltages and currents); environment (e.g., temperature, noise); and physical characteristics (e.g., geometry, doping levels). However, formulation of device model involves trade-off between accuracy and computational speed and for most practical operation such as for SPICE-based circuit simulator, empirical modeling approach is often preferred. Thus, this chapter also covers empirical modeling approaches to predict device operation by implementing mathematically fitted equations. In addition, it includes numerical device modeling approaches, which involve numerical device simulation using different types of commercial computer-based tools. Numerical models are used as virtual environment for device optimization under different conditions and the results can be used to validate the simulation models for other operating conditions.
